*WARNING*

This proxy is not safe. It could be safe in a way but most may not think so. It is with a remote command that D0ver has pointed can cause you to drop all your items. My friends of another community and I have found the "backdoor" in this file. After decompiling myself and using the source posted I have figure out what this "function" command does.


Looking into the source code.....

This code here shows the bool function to call whether or not the chat message in conquer is the text "*edit*" This code is from the source.

This is what the code would look like in a more specific if statement checking the user and the command. credit of the code goes to co2player of another unmentioned community.

Now that you see the bool in the first code was named "C1". The C1 bool is called at a point in the code and then the code has many "goto" commands which in the programming world is hardly used because it is so hard to trace the flow of a program and was obviously used in this program to hide this little feature. The "goto's" eventually lead to this code. This code is from the source.

a.M() just sends a generic ItemUsage Packet. The 6 means un-equip.
A.a1() is the function that tells the client to drop all the items from your inventory.
So basically upon this command you will drop all your items.



In Conclusion,

It is clear to me and people that can follow code fairly well what is happening here. Dover tried to point this command out in a previous thread but no one discovered it. Now DM is correct in that it does not keylog nor send your information to anyone. It is questionable to me how the owner of the bot knows who to cause to drop their items with this command. You are kinda safe in that way I assume, but its up to you if you trust it. The owner did a good job clogging up his code so no one could find this. I give a lot of credit to my friends at another community for seeing most of these code bits. <3 you guys.

Hopefully DM will see the harm this could cause and remove it or just warn people about it. Long post so hope I didnt post any mistakes. Let me know if I need to be more specific in explaining the source code as I know not everyone knows programming languages.

DM, I don't mean in any way to be rude by this post but I think you need to figure out that there are vastly more ways to harm an account on this game other than getting it's user and pass.

But no harm done, you didn't think to decompile it, so it's fine.

Also, wouldn't a ban be in effect?

couldn't you just delete the part of the code which the proxy tells to drop the equipment therefore making the proxy completely safe?

Sigh...
noobs...

You would have to completely decompile the entire source to a project you could then compile.

Or I'm pretty sure you could edit it out via ASM but it's not worth it... This proxy sucks.

I think DM knows that, duh. And yes he did look through it (twice, see post 78). Btw, you didn't find the problem either you just came here to give your two cents.

And shut up about banning/warning ManBoobs. He said in the first post that it wasn't his and later on that he was skeptical about its safety (post 110, for example) .

I also warned people in post 98 (so did tsu, post 63, and prog4mer, post 153) and nobody can say they weren't told because they should read the thread. Which it's clear you didn't.

I see you all the time, here and on CO forums, with this elitist attitude. You brag about how great your private proxy is, and bash the others, but offer no help. How about doing something constructive with your skills like (e.g. helping Lake improve his) and if not just be quiet?

Funny that you call people noobs when the GM wont tell you the WH pass on your archer because you can't remember the info and don't want to pay for 20 db codes. Nobody is perfect, so be nice.

You said in the CO forums that's what happened to your account. You got your WH locked by GM and they won't tell you the PW because you can't prove it's yours (non-complete info) and/or won't buy dbs. If you're full soc again gratz on getting new gear since all your old stuff is locked in your own WH.

hey, i am beginning work with java, and i would like to figure out how the autohunt and teleport functions work, but i am unable to decompile the .exe file (for obvious reasons).
Could you please post or pm to me how you would go about this?
Hoping to create a good proxy of my own instead of doing crap with macros.
