All right, I was able to put instant stage change into fan_map. Goddamn it's convenient. It's like ultimate laziness in a dungeon run, and I think it can contribute in doing full run for dungeons like BFB since the map doesn't have to be right next to the other in order to jump to it.

I'm still doing experiments on this, and I think the only downside so far is that you cannot loot items since it's like an instant move.

While it doesn't help much in fragment drop, it does help you beat dungeon even faster.

lolz that's laziness. combined with sd, u dont do anything--just enter portals until the dungeon run is complete. now where's the fun in that?

im interested in this. well, ok maybe not :P epvp hacks have become the ultimate spoonfeeder--no more doing anything, just entering portals. that cant be right. if u didnt want to go on dungeon runs, y play the game at all? to play dress-em-up? u want to complete the characters, buy sets and then mix and match armors/weapons/accessories? that's just plain weird.

and before u go about saying "hey, we're here for pvp", i just want to point out: this is a side-scroller game. its supposed to be played in dungeons. the pvp was just an added bonus. well, that's what i think anyway.

I agree there, but only to be truthful I'm going to argue that "I'm too lazy to collect 300 fragments legit", cause except for 2nd job mission, I would just play legit w/o any hacks.

I'm pretty sure no ppl are interested in USING this crap, but probably in for exploring fun, u know? xD

Can any1 post a guide bout how to edit FAN_MAP!!!

point taken. its ok to use hacks to make gameplay easier, its another thing to play the game without actually "playing the game".

I can guarrantee u a 80% drop rate of quest items...

but U nid a 1hit script for this...not SD...I repeat...1 hit!

I olwys do this one to obtain quest items...

with 1 hit+yellowLines...

do this...

while entering a stage...look at teh timer on teh upper right of teh screen of GC...


after every 3 sec...hit teh monster...and wen teyh die...die drop..jst liek taht...

repeat and repeat until complete...

u think its jst pure luck? no la...I hav finish Amy quest within 1 day...and a total of 38 dungeon runs...

y 38? bcuz of teh flower thing...I hav obtain all items from xenia and ToO in jst 38 runs....

I was planning to post it while 1hit is still active but it might came out to be another dumb ritual...

well its comfirmed tested ... Im doin this style since teh release of xbow...using CE which I learn from my couzins from KGC....

Looks impossible seeing how drop rate works, and seeing how I had hard time in achieving 2nd job mission using CE as well, with doing more than 100 runs for amy quest when I had no idea what SD was, along with the fact that script.kom 1 hit is different from the old CE 1 hit. I would also like you to clarify the "flower thing" part.

Anyways, I'll try it later to see if it works and give you an update.


New topic, there are many ppl who say partusay drop does not work with Brian's hacks. I'm going to test this if I ever need partusay drop, but I'll try explaining here.

All partusay drops are, every single one, from partusay's head to be precise. That's why if you play legit head does not die even if it receives all damage it can, unless body and leg already got pwned.
The fact that SD hack makes all three parts die at the same time, Along with the low drop rate, I set up a guess that if head is killed earlier or at the same time, the kill is considered illegal, thus not giving any special drops mentioned in script.kom.
What I'm going to try later is:
1. SD hack body and leg first
2. Wait trigger function then SD head

Some ppl mentioned that skipping quest dialogue makes monsters not drop, though I have no idea about this. I also don't have any idea about mini ice golem not dropping, but it has low enough drop rate.

Feel free to correct me on this one.

Why not let Partusay's Head kill his Leg and Body? If a boss can spawn mobs, maybe he can recall them too. Or keep
Partusay's Head excempt from SD.

Sorry for butting in, I come here to rethink my hacks. Its hard coming up with a decent skill hack.

Edit: Lolz I just figured out how to make my skill hack work :D

Now why didn't I think of that. Thx El, I changed the fan_map to kill the head if leg and body are dead, now I only have to test it when I need partusay drops.


Anyways, since there is manipulation of monster placement and map platform, I was thinking would it be possible to actually add some custom maps from nothing. Still a rough idea, and I'm going to do some other stuphs for a while before I get into this, but I think it would be possible.

try 010 editor..
steps:
1. run 010 Editor
2. open the ORIGINAL KOM file (ex.ai,script,fan_map) from ur GCPH folder
3. click edit>set file size. Copy the file size of the ORIGINAL KOM file.
4. then open ur edited KOM file (ex.ai,script,fan_map) FYI:the ORIGINAL kom file and ur edited kom file should be same.
5. then click edit>set file size,paste the copied file size from ORIGINAL kom file and subtract 4 from the new file size (ex. 406,616-4= 406,612). FYI: you need to minus 4 bytes becoz when you use crch2,it will add 4 bytes to ur edited KOM file
6. then click save.
7. then use crch2 to add the remaining 4 bytes needed
