how to fix restedxp out of date error ? I just downloaded and copied to the interface. Is says it is out of date in game and not loading.

So they have not made a official release to fix the issue.
The alpha file still has the old interface number for the toc.

Well you can either load out of date addons. Or change the interface number in the Toc file.

There are people that downloaded the update every two hours ago. Some people are looking for the update. Then expecting it to be posted elsewhere except an exact place It was originally.
Other people are waiting to download the update that has been there for the past 2 1/2 hours

In regards to rxp on classic hardcore, toggling hardcore off and on makes the guides from level 22 onwards work. But every relog or reload causes it to blank out again. It worked yesterday, even late at night and into the early hours of the morning so it came to me as a surprise that it was broken when I logged on today.

I tried uninstalling the addon, installing it from curseforge/github and copying the guides folder into it but same issue. Last update on github was 2 weeks ago so it's probably dependent on the addon creator to fix his shit rather than Desc doing the man's work for him.

People do not read that and just take the files.
Then they update from an update when I said not to. Then come back saying that the guys don’t load anymore.

So updated for an update while told not to.
You did not delete the saved variables for the add-on either I take a guess

Without updating, I cleared full cache and checked. Still broken.
I reinstalled and cleared cache again. Still broken.
I updated using github and copied guides with cleared cache again. Still broken.

Do not confuse my attempts at debugging as complaints. I'm only here to give information and I'm fine waiting on a fix.

I never once ever said anything about clearing the cache. The cache has nothing to do with the add-on.
I told people what to delete because I chose to download it and make the add-on free. So delete the files. I suggest suggested stop the ad for being free. Then enable the guide as it normally would.

When I say cache I also mean the WTF folder, which holds config files. Regardless, the addon was broken without doing anything to it to begin with. Trying to find a workaround was the next logical course of action when lacking an official fix.

Github is also not an updater, it's the raw files in a zip for a manual install.

So what is the issue you are having because the guides load game

The rxp window is completely blank. I've tried copying the guides folder to official rxp but nothing changes. With both your version and the official version using guides folder, I can toggle hardcore mode off and on to get access to level 22+ guides but any loading screen or relog makes it blank again.

Rxp just updated to 4.10.20 so I'll try that with the guides folder, we'll see how it goes.

Yep, the rxp update fixes the issue. Managed to copy the guides folder into the addon for a functional fix.

For anyone wanting to try this out, you can follow these steps on your own:
1. Download Rested XP from Descentralizado's first post in this thread
2. Install Rested XP from the official github or curseforge
4. Copy the Guides folder from Descentralizado's version to the now-installed version and overwrite all.
5. Launch game, pick guide, play game

Please do not DM me for "the fix" or the files. I offer no support.

I'm probably the people you get annoyed with and i'm sure i have missed the solution somewhere. Is there a fix or will we get an ETA on the fix? I appriciate all you're doing bro!

Today people took the link and didn’t read the post.
It says not to use an update because it breaks the add-on and they do.
Then they come back with. The add-on don’t work because I’m using an updater.

Due to people not saying what they extracted it with. It’s hard to know.
Because people keep on using software that doesn’t even extract the file fully
