Do you see the pillar once you get close to packs in the ocean?
When you load into the game you wil receive data for objects in a really wide area.
But after that you have to get pretty close (like a 100m?) to receive information about new objects.

You can try to relog somewhere in the middle of the ocean (char selection and back in).

So lets say you load into the world at ynystere and then teleport to solis. You will only see the pillars of cargo that are close to you.
If you however now decide to relog at solis port and look again you can probably see pillars all the way till cinderstone.

This Info is from about 1 1/2 years ago, so they might've changed the loading when you first login, but I doubt that.

So just try to relog somewhere in the ocean and see if you can find anything

no, i can see the pillars from afar.

my problem is, even though it is half a meter from the cargo, i only see the original cargo pack image, not the pillar.

otherwise to the tradepacks, those i see the pillar without any problem at almost any distance.
