As i already quoted, you have to restart as many times till it work (try it around 50-100x times). If really don't work then download the one from Forfirith there is also an Injector which should do better.

Here is the link to it:

So 1st of all, click this links and go give this wonderful people a Big Thanks. They're the ones who came up with the idea/resources.
Now lemme explain the steps to you.

Instructions:
  1. Download [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]and extract them all to your S4League\BGM folder.
  2. Edit AInjector.ini to update your S4 League directory. Standard is: C:\Program Files\alaplaya\S4League or C:\Programs\alaplaya\S4League.
  3. Next, Create a shortcut to your Desktop/Taskbar. Right Click > Send to > Desktop or Right Click > Pin to Taskbar (Windows 7).
  4. Run the AutoInjector. It'll launch the Patcher automatically if you inserted the right S4League folder path.
  5. Start game and Voilá!

Requirements:
Notes:
  • The AutoInjector will most possibly be detected as Malware by Antivirus like AVG/NORTON/ETC. Follow [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] to know how to bypass possible blocks/deletes.
  • The Autoinjector is pre-defined to run as admin.
  • This method helps to bypass error 5, 8, 18, 32, and the Hacking trial Detected.
  • Don't forget to PRESS RESTORE before pressing START in a game room! (Solution to Static String Error)

And for those new to IM:

Steps After Injecting:
  1. (Optional) Log In with ALL Caps or RaNdOm caps username; (Avoids DC)
  2. Enter your inventory, equip all the disired Clothes and Weapons (Usage-Timed, aka, Fumbi);
  3. Click on the Item manager list, then on the field above and enter a profile name: pex.: Camp equips, TD.ATK..., then press New Profile;
  4. Now UNEQUIP ALL, we want your chara as nekid as they were born to S4L;
  5. IMPORTANT: Equip some Perm/undesired weapons/clothes/skill.
  6. Double Click the profile you want (@ Lobby);
  7. Get in a game room;
  8. Press RESTORE;
  9. Click START;
  10. Tada! Now your not using your clothes/weps, their timmer is not running out when you join a game, and you get to keep they're PLUSes;
  11. To Change Profile (or STOP using the item manager), simply press Restore, then to equip again follow step 2, and following, again.
Um Forfirith, I followed your instructions carefully but the Item manager doesn't show up. (It has been injected correctly)

Halo whats your o.system?
Have you your .net framework up to date?
Are you keeping the Injector in the BGM folder? + the .ini + 2x .dll's?

Ok. It doesn't work for you. We've told everything there was to know, if you still have problems it's out of ours hands from now on.
Now just Stop Spamming and wait for IM 2.0.

I'm having the same problem.
I have XP x32 as well. My antivirus is Norton, but I doubt thats the problem. ;;

It works fine on my brother's computer though. (W7 x32) Also I find that I can use the Manual restoring detection fix IM on there without being detected as well.

Actually I also have the same OS and to be honest the 'Alternative' Injection method also didn't work out for me (testing purpose). Did you tried 'Drag the IM.dll and Drop it on the AInjector.exe'? I did so but didn't helped either. But MrSm!th's injection process is still properly functioning for me, so maybe I didn't tried the 'Alt' way hard enough.
