ZygorDDL - Zygor Guides downloader & updater

Yeah, there's something wrong with it.

Uninstall the previous? Most times this program offers a new update when launching it -- we need to uninstall the previous version prior?

I just ran this program the other day and it was fine - today I'm getting the same errors as above.

I'll check that out. In the meanwhile, you can revert the changes. Just delete the newly created 2.0 directory and rename the other one back to 2.0

I guess i know the problem but this needs some testing because i cant reproduce it, yet.

You have to uninstall the previous version because the current version is not a local hosted one.

seit heute kann ich den updater nicht mehr öffnen bzw es steht nun immer Die Anwendung kann nicht gestartet werden. Wenden Sie sich an den Hersteller der Anwendung. woran liegt es ? vorher gings immer ohne probleme wurde was verändert?

Irgendwie steh ich wohl auf dem Schlauch ^^ Ich finde im ersten Post nur den Link zur ZygorDDL.exe, und die kann ich ausführen und dann startet das Ganze, aber nen Shortcut krieg ich trotzdem nicht. Wo liegt mein Fehler? ^^

Using Windows 7 (uncertain about XP or Apple):

If you do a search in your main drive for zygorddl you will find the exe file in your X:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Aps\2.0\A BUNCH OF NUMBERS HERE --- I created a shortcut from there right-click on the exe file and chose to create a short cut

I took a screen shot:

Thx Prez, I already made a shortcut (I just opened ZygorDDL, right clicked the exe file in my Taskmanager and then clicked "Open File Location" to find it, but the result is of course still the same than with your way :D).

But still: Is there any Setup available who does this task automatically, or do we have to do it ourselves? Right, it's not so much effort we have to put into this shortcut, but a Setup would be great for all the lazy people out there (including myself :D)

Hahaha,, you're right!! I always seem to find the hard way to do things..lol!

I believe this is a first time occurrence of this happening. Prior releases placed a startup folder and in the registry like a regular setup program would install but I believe Whoknowsit is aware and working on it --something was mentioned a few posts back about how this release is different. It works for now =D

Using the original exe is a Bad idea, because it bypasses the updater. Just use the linkes File from the Main Post.

Die hab ich ja genommen, aber das war halt kein Setup, sondern einfach die ZygorDDL.exe, die keinen Link angelegt hat. Bis zur Version 3.1 war das ein Setup, aber jetzt anscheinend nicht mehr. Evtl. falsche Datei verlinkt? ^^ Wollte die grade nochmal laden, um zu sehen ob ich was falsch gemacht hab, aber wenn ich auf >> Download << klicke kommt jetzt Fehler 404 ;)

Aber ich denke wir kriegen unser Setup schon wieder ^^

Übrigens: Thx dafür das du das Ganze hier überhaupt machst, ist echt spitze dein Prog :)

Ich sitze gerade in der Schule und arbeite in diesem Augenblick am Programm ;)

I'm currently rewriting the connection routine. Because i've implemented a proxy mechanism, it's not working as expected. But for now, everything should work.
