this bug is clientbased... can't be fixed in the serverfiles

No way that ocean will release anything. Even IF he stops the servers releasing the files means giving money to a lot of people just like that so it will never happen.

And dont be retarded with "rollbacks" GMs cant do that. Caz they simply dont have db backup, like isro does caz they make it every week. I guess last db swsro record, that server can be rolbacked its when there was a bug with character db reset after tp/relog.

but weren't there other exploit for that version too? feels to me pretty much every ecsro version has had some exploits.

Well the server should have somekind of check about what's beeng traded and how. Sro is server sided game so it really depends on the server what will happen and how it will. It's like the packet editing you have made- so in the game it's shown that you are a dog or have 1BB gold, but if the server doesn't accept that as a true function it will not write it in the database :). So the problem is in both the server and the client. They could really just use the old exe without the stall network. This is pretty rude way to fix the game but it will work.
