searching throne room script!
I am. I also did a handful of quest scripts in Norg and the surrounding areas. I've been following these forums and some others from afar since the project was shutdown in hopes of someone picking it back up.Quote:
Yeah I do recall you, if you're the same bababooey, working on the food effects. Then some other people were working on missions and quests.
You should be able to equip armor too... and wow... sounds like you have issues. I'd make a new database and try to reload the pxidb.sql file again. I read that sometimes when you load a database so large, things can get pretty screwed up, especially with a slower computer. Mobs don't wonder on mine either, and you can't summon either. But you should have weapons and armor that work.Quote:
Mobs don't wander for some reason, I believe I've seen that before...
I can't equip anything but weapons, and the weapons don't have a model.
Pets don't work, I assume that's intentional :p
Yeah, more scripts would be nice, for the remaining spells and other things (like Poison II and beyond, for example).
Meh, I can try again. My computer isn't exactly slow (3.4ghz quad) so I don't think that's the issue. There's like 5 different DB files without any clear indication as to what should be run, though. :P I ended up just doing pxidb.sql in the misc folder, then the 3-26-10.sql, then the two update zone settings files (without those two, many errors and NPCs don't work at all). There's another pxidb.sql file in the initial folder I haven't tried, and who knows what else.Quote:

Other than that, it sounds like your version is very similar to mine. I can send you a copy of the SQL I modified slightly. There maybe some stuff changed in it, but feel free to change it back to where it's supposed to be. I had a lot of problems loading the database that came with this version, so once I got it working, I saved it. I'm using HeidiSQL but I don't think that's really relevant. It's just handy to know whether or not you need to change which database it's going to overwrite before you execute it on Heidi.
I've been using meteorXI 0.9.0RC without any issues from the beginning... there was an issue with using it?Quote:
I found a fix for mXI-0.9.0RC I'm pretty sure this time...
I was lucky to get it to work before, I don't know what I did, but it broke so it really doesn't matter now.
I think this will work 100%.
First step, set it to run as administrator. Set up the Client.ini file so that it logs you in automatically. This is important, another thing is that you cannot click outside of the windower while it's up, which really if you think about it defeats the purpose, in most situations.
I went into Windower the newest version I think is 3.42. The readme said 3.41 but I think that is the incorrect version. Moving along...
I copied the file called init.txt from the scripts folder and pasted it inside of mXI-0.9.0RC's scripts folder and overwrote the old one.
Then I opened it with notepad and changed the settings so that plugins do not load, except since then I've found that some plugins work, TParty, ConsoleBG for sure. I was too excited to test out the rest. Just add //load (nameofplugin) Those two slashes will prevent them from loading.
Anyhow, next you got back to the Windower directory, and copy the Hook.dll file and paste it into the mXI-0.9.0RC directory and overwrite the one that's there.
That's it. Have fun with your scripts. I'm working on scripting zones so that all you have to type is the zone name. I did this before pXI's site shutdown, but since then I've lost those files. Heh.
Ok, this is probably a simple problem.Quote:
Hello I have read through the forum and I needed some help. I've been trying to get pxi to work for a few weeks now messing with it here and there. i'm running windows 7, mysql 5.1, sqlyog, various combinations of pxi and mxi. One of the main probs i'm having is i don't understand how to fully load the game. I have followed the instructions to the best of my knowledge. I install mysql, set it up and inport the database using sqlyog. I installed the game and all current expansions up to WOG. i started playonline and and updated the files. i do not currently have a content id nor will i be able to access one for about 6 months so i am trying to set it up so i can play while i cannot connect.
Well, if you want to load windower scripts, you have to run it under "Windower Mode" which did not work for me. I could mXI9.0RC as "No Windower" or "Windower Lite" which doesn't run scripted macros.Quote:

Anyway, I tried using the other DB file and I can equip stuff now... however, the DB file is half the size and some things don't work. An example of this is Claustrum. I can equip weapons with both DB files, and with the bigger one it allows use of Tartarus Gate. With the smaller one that allows me to equip everything, Tartarus Gate does not exist.
I am at a loss...
Also, is there a way to just give yourself all spells besides just using @addspell for every number? How about weapon skills?
Oh, nice. Does this mean equipment will work as well?Quote:
I'm going to upload my newest sqldb file soon it has the best of both the newer 0.6.5 and the old 0.6.4 material
boats should work (and barges)
new equipment
updated zones
more spells work (from 0.6.5 db)
npcs should exsist
