it is a safety meassurement, if the account is compromised you can not really know which source is safe anymore, if you would just block logging in it would not necessarily mean the account is safe; the hacker could use a proxy to act like he is in the same geographical location as the original user. Blocking the account until the safety issue is resolved or atleast cleared up is a way safer and equally effective method

That's true - I didn't take into account that they could just simply use a proxy to fake their location :(

For bigger games they actually use proxies indeed. If you wonder what they do with your account; they take all your gold and put them, together with valuable items on a 'store char' they might then either use your char for goldbotting, or spamming.

The steps for a way to not forget your password

1. Create an account with password 'Invalid'
2. When you forget the password type some random password and then it will tell you 'your password is Invalid
3. Problem solved

Or just use the same password on all games also it's the same for your moderator acc and let server owner check out your fail password to hack your account?
