But when they say they do not know how to install "the addon". But they have 60 + installed the same way. But does not know what to do. That does not match up.

But when it clearly says Download/Install addon, download and install to addons/Overwrite. Do people read it? Sadly they do not and then claim they do not know what to do.
When asked did they read what to do. they say nothing.
People take the link, read nothing and then say it does not work.

Others read > take link > install.
While some people take link > read nothing and then say it does not work. When told the same thing that the first post says.

Example Download/Install addon, download and install to addons/Overwrite. What have they done? Gone to the RXP folder and deleted the guides folder and extracted to it. Then says it does not work.

If people do not want to read what to do. Then they cannot blame me for their actions.

If I was going to write it for new users I would put this:

For Rested XP, there are 2 parts. The Rested XP addon, and a custom guide addon.

Part 1. Rested XP Addon
Install the rested XP addon like you would any addon
<links to rxp addon>

Part 2. Custom Guides
Download the attachment to this post (link at the bottom of the post) and install it as a seperate addon in your addons folder and this will make the guides show up in the Rested XP addon.

A fair point and I have done that and people still have an issue.

Example, they download classic. They install Classic and then they add addons to classic. When they run classic, it says MOP and they say nothing. They load in to game and it is not anniversary.

So they download install Era and then they add addons to Era. Then they run Era and play anniversary.
Then they have manually added all addons to World of Warcraft\_classic_era_ knowing they are playing World of Warcraft\_classic_era_
Then extract RXP to World of Warcraft\_classic_ knowing they are playing era and then wonders why it does not work. Then claim my file does not work.

Long story short, if people actually read the post before taking. Then it would work.
People wanted me to make a 5 minute video on how to install it. Because they did not want to go to youtube to look up the same thing.

But I even linked a YT video and people did not watch it and then claimed what I posted did not work.

For anniversary you installed Era, add addons to Era, you launch era, so you download era.

MOP is classic, so no anniversary is not MOP classic

Comeback after years away from WoW because of the housing to try it out, and I remembered that I always come here because of Zygor, and you still uploading it, so thank you for that!

Would it be possible to put the version of RestedXP that the guides.rar is compatible with? Or put the last version they are confirmed to work with, that would be useful if its easier. The curseforge addon updates pretty often and sometimes breaks the guides we paste into the folder.

It has worked with all updates with what has come out.

My attached file, works and I have tested it.

Any idea why the pathing in zygor guides for dungeons no longer works? The dungeon pathing that shows a line to know exactly where to go. Can someone help me with this? On retail wow.

The patch only has just come out.
Looks like something they are in the progress of updating.

I know it may be a longshot, but you used to upload the paid gold guides as well, is there any plan to ever continue that? Love your work, been coming to this thread for years :)
