with the new torrent method, how can i see when a new update has been released?

Wouldn’t it be better if people just used the version provided on the first page, instead of repeatedly attacking the host, causing takedowns, and then flooding the thread with complaints?

The issue however is that with the old DDL method we could see the upload date of the file, which we can't with a magnet link, since the file date will be when we downloaded it, I'm happy for your work over all these years so I'd suggest to just add "updated on XX.XX" next to the addon, then we'd have the advantages of torrent longevity and comfort of DDL method^^

I said before people care more about the upload date. Then the actual file, then the actual version, then the actual content.

Then the excuse is they go by the version when I cannot tell if it’s the version or not.

But seeing people wanted to cause issues and don’t care about upload time.
The last pile host I was uploading the exact file multiple times a day because people wanted to cause issues. Does that mean that people downloaded the same file multiple times a day or because of the upload time?

But when it is emitted that some people aren’t here, don’t want it posted. Will prevent it from being posted. Will claim multiple identities. But when that happens, people don’t say anything.

Also, when people are given exactly what they wanted. They didn’t even read a post and still complained. They don’t know that it was even there because he refused to check.

So if people want to upload time as stated before. I could just re-upload it over and over again like could be before and no I said a thing.

Because people follow with the upload date over the actual content. The upload date and time does it prove thing when it’s exactly the same file.

But why would I need to upload it again and again? Well, when people cause issues I have to. But when people cause issues, no one says a thing. Seve in getting from what they want. They don’t say a thing.

Hey, is there any way that you could make it work for wotlk private servers? Cause zygor doesn't work and so is rxp. Thanks ;)

If your point is that you no longer trust me, I could counter that I could never trust you either. However, as you’ve mentioned previously, your approach seems to be primarily aimed at provoking a reaction. You emphasize the importance of the version number, yet that can easily be manipulated.

Similarly, there is much focus on upload times, yet when the same file is uploaded multiple times a day, with no apparent changes, there’s a notable silence from critics.

What I find most telling is that many of these individuals have something to say only when they cannot access what they want. However, when I offer the version number as requested, I am met with attacks instead of appreciation.

The truth is, if people get what they want, they are content. But when they can’t, they will go to great lengths to discredit me, finding someone else who will cater to their demands and provide what they seek.

One more thing, for 12 years, no version number posted.
People did not say a thing.
When asked why.
No one wants to say.
Because in all that tuning, treat take and say nothing.

Back when I did post something initially, I was met with constant attacks, not just toward me, but also toward the host, including DDoS attacks. Meanwhile, many who claimed they wanted a release said and did nothing to stop the harassment.

Now you're focused on what’s on the front page. So what, we post a random version number there? At that point, it's just a number. What does that actually prove?

It's like someone admitting to a crime before committing it, exactly as you described: baiting, just to see who reacts. Only a fool would openly admit what they’re doing and then follow through with it. Yet, here you are.

The version number? It means nothing. It can be edited, changed, and manipulated, and you wouldn't even know what it represents.

Wouldn’t it make more sense if people didn’t harass or attack those trying to give them what they asked for?

Hey 911sky, thanks for maintaining this over the years.

First time I ecountered some problems. Cant get the Speedrun guides for classic to load, only have the 1-20 part.

Fresh install battle.net and wow with no other addons than RXP from Curse and the custom guide from here. Wouldnt load.

Did remove savedvariables + wtf and still wont load.

I also get that popup that my RXP Leveling is out of date. Is that the problem? I saw in the Curseforge client that the main addon was updated yesterday.

So maybe you have to update the custom guide from your link?

If that's not the problem. Anyone got any ideas?
