I've always used this thread and NEVER had any problems until today-- but I am assuming something else is going on due to the dramatic posts people ranting about.

Every major patch or release people say the same thing. So that the file is not posted. But then they want it for themselves. But they do not want others to have it. TBC ani and MN will be the same.
Shame really.
Same people too and even 1 ghuy has over 130 accounts and they just get removed.

About hosting
if it is, then you could get a 5$ cloud server from hetzner and then use docker to setup nextcloud which is like a open source file host like google drive
but this way there is no restrictions and no "admin" to say what you can and can't do
and your the master over it all
