The Database & Scripts are being cleaned up and fixed currently. We just don't broadcast it on this thread as we are primarily on the Tunngle public chat discussing the project. Or whatever else.Quote:
particularly in the scripts and database, where it's needed the most.
We prefer to have a stable server/foundation to build content upon over adding content which may crash an already unstable server/foundation.Quote:
Stability for multiple connections should probably be secondary to the content
People can freely download, compile, run and configure the current SVN. The PXI SVN/Source code has been out for years. If people in the past didn't want to contribute during that time before DLX came along then chances are they won't care about it now unless they say otherwise. Like it or not the current public SVN is what we are offering at this time.Quote:
I stand by what I said, that all would benefit from a public testing svn. *snip* so that it may be compiled, run, and configured.
1- Got one. Linked it earlier. That is the current progress of the publicly released server. Everything else is just test code. There is no current code ready for the SVN other than what is on the SVN. When there is it will be updated. Be patient.Quote:
Bullet-points of what I'm suggesting:
1- open svn for read-only access of current progress to source
2- bug ticket tracker through *snip*
3- forum dedicated to the project
2- Got two actually, one is these forums one is elsewhere. MantisBT is one of the most used bug trackers possibly.
3- Your in it. read through it. We don't need another at this time and when one is necessary one will be made.
And we appreciate that some in the community see this project as having potential. Have you ever thought that maybe the reason it has potential is because of the way it is being run and handled? I think we are doing pretty well and so do the others in the group along with those involved on the test server.Quote:
The reason I make these suggestions is the potential of this fork
You Jackwagon! heh.. Screwy commercial. Unless someone asks for something to do we don't assign anyone anything. Even when people do ask for something we kinda have a list and just let them pick something up they might be interested in doing or learning. Hell, kyou has spent quite a bit of time teaching others how to do things because they want to get more involved in the project.Quote:
*snip* and don't think they should have to contact someone who is lesser in ability *snip* in order to be assigned some mamby pamby assignment
No one has to like what we are doing or how this project is currently being handled. That is expected and we don't ask anyone to understand our reasons for anything we do. Get involved, read up on all the updates and decide if you want to contribute. If you don't want to contribute to DLX then go somewhere else or work on something else on your own.
Other than that thank you for your thoughts and suggestions. As time goes on we will be sure to keep such things in mind as a possible option in the future.
