This was actually a thing all the way back in BFBC2 and BF3 when rage cheating was absolutely destroying the BF series. Godmode, mass murder (kill everyone in the server with 1 key), etc.. It even showed up on the PBbans list if you remember that from back in the day (the offiical PunkBuster ban live stream website), that it was labled as "targetted detection" against xx provider.

Back then every ban even had its own code, so you knew which provider got detected and PunkBuster would happily announce whether or not it was a generic detection or a targetted detection. This was a small team back 15 years ago, think of EA now with the Saudis owning them and all the billions of dollars lol. Its no work at all if they have unlimited funding for it.

Certainly doesn't mean every detection is manual though. Javelin is pretty good even on its own and their render detection is fucking a lot of providers hard.

How is that “very exhausting”?
The list has fewer than 10 providers, and most of them are just solo or small-team developers
Imagine an actual team at Game-Corporation that’s specifically assigned to monitor cheating activity, it’s really not an exaggeration
If a game company is willing to invest the resources and it benefits the integrity of the game, that’s a healthy move in the long run

The only question I have is why didn’t multi-billion-dollar game companies start doing this long ago?
I don’t mean manually targeting cheaters, but actually working aggressively against them
All this time it feels like they’ve been treating it like a chore, lazy waves of bans every few months or so

Not enough money in it? Or just not worth the effort
since the devs don’t gain anything from that part of the profit?
I mean, just enough effort to keep cheaters somewhat under control and keep the job safe
but not aggressive enough to exhaust themselves for nothing in return

just got banned using nova macro default settings... didn't rage (i dont even know how u could) never had any other cheat ever. literally just 2 hours using it. why is this even on here? its clearly detected and now i lost flippen 70$. NOBODY BUY NOVA MACRO

DONT USE IT. I JUST GOT BANNED using the default settings. its detected and i have no clue why its still on here. mods should remove it ASAP fr

I haven't used the new macro, but I know that several of my friends were banned, even though they played as legitimately and smoothly as possible.

That is like day old news, read a few pages back where there was a mass posting of "nova is detected"

is it really a HWID ban? i dont want to have to use a temp spoof can i use a perm one? never really gotten banned of a game i cared about so im lowkey pissed. if anyone knows how i can get back in please let me know

So, bf6 has insane anticheat now, any news on dma chairs how are they doing with detections?

Just get EA PRO test it for few days, if you are HWID banned just reinstall pc ( if it’s mainboard HWID ban, if SSD/hdd you need to replace discs and make raid0 for next time

I think I'll just wait until January until I try anything. Javelin seems to be very potent and money doesn't grow on trees for me.
