Somehow I can't seem to open the downloaded file, it says:

(Zygors, not classic, nor retail)

error means like the .rar is damaged(?) can't imagine tho

Windows could not open, 7zip can... solved!

"The quickest way to find a guide is to take the quest, open the quest log, and click the icon. It will automatically direct you to it.

As noted in the changelog, this feature was added on Tuesday

I've said it before, and I'll repeat it on behalf of myself and the whole community: we appreciate you and the work you put in a lot, 911sky. Keep it up!

Damn, a lot of drama here on RXP that could be solved with 30s of work instead of being pedantic:

Instructions were there, but people just take the file and run.
Then come back when it does not work.
They intentionally do what is wrong.

Then you have the few, that have a hidden agenda.

Did you ever ask?

Well it is an addon right.
So it goes in addons right?

So why are people putting it in other places

3.2 - went back to the XXXX folder and went to the folder with my server, then my character, then savedvariables, then deleted the files for restedxp
4- reinstall the RestedXP addon via curseforge or whatever
5- put the file folder we extracted from rar file in the addons folder (the actual addons folder, not RXP folder)
6- start game and it should appear now
Thank you, that worked. Should be in the 1st post.

t was clear, but people chose to download the file without reading anything, and then complained that it didn’t work. They decided to use the wrong software, even after being told it wouldn’t work. It's an add-on, and it should go in the add-ons directory, but they put it elsewhere instead.

When I included those instructions in the first post, you and everyone else said nothing. But when someone else repeats what I said, that’s when you respond.

But seeing you want to be a funny guy. You are one of those who took it, said nothing, did not work. Did not ask anything, so waited for someone else to say what I had. Case closed.

This is laughable at best.

There's a difference between 'foolproof instructions' - which consider the perspectives and experiences of all those which may be reading it- vs 'bare minimum instruction' which usually only makes 100% sense to the writer or someone who is already experienced with the procedure.

As someone who writes life critical procedures on oil rigs, you'd have been thrown into the sea long ago (first for terrible procedure writing and next for attitude.

Well look at your posts, oh what are they a joke.

Because someone takes what I said and structures the exact same thing, what to say.

Well if you cannot follow what to do, then do not do it.

Seems people have 0 issue installing an addon.
But when it is this one that is "exactly" the same thing.
People intentionally use the wrong software.
They intentionally put a folder inside a folder.
They intentionally put it in the wrong location.

Then they complain it does not work.

But they install other addons manually right? But doing the exact same thing, they do it different.

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), more than 4,000 oil field employees are wounded each year, and more than 100 workers are killed every year on the job. That is following your instructions.

3 things, you are not saying what you downloaded. So I have no idea
I guess that would be windows defender?
If it is RXP, did you download the whole directory for 1 file. Or did you select the file to download.

I have to ask because all you say is you downloaded and it has a warning.
