Well you never say that it is not a zip it is a rare.
That you intentionally try to extract it with the wrong software and then blame the file.

Well if you used the right software it would work right.
I keep in saying windows extractor does not extract .rar. But people still keep on doing it.
So instead of repeating myself, people will find out the hard way. That they intentionally do what is wrong and then never blame their own actions.

I could say, did you use the right software?
No.
Then what do you expect?

People keep saying this and choose not to say the reason why.

They choose not to say what they extracted it with because they intentionally keep using the wrong software. Then expecting it to work I know it doesn�t.

Then I�ve had to add them before, and it didn�t delete the same variables.

Then people do a lot of other things that is wrong, but choose not to say.

So seeing you say it doesn�t work and don�t give no reason it�s gonna be really hard to tell the cause and fix.

I say that because of 2 things.

People intentionally use software that cannot extract a rar. Then comes back with guides do not show up. Will not say what they used. Because they know what they used does not work.

Also they do not want to say, they did not delete the savedvariables.

Long story short, people keep on making a problem and then wonder why the files do not show up.

I use WinRAR on my pc, that's what I extracted it with. What I wasn't aware of was about deleting the savedvariables, I'll look up how to do that and come back. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.

Well you have the right software and is it the latest? Seeing people never update their software and expect to open a new file with old software.

I am now aware that addons keep on "restoring" the savedvariables instead of making new ones. Well that took 12 years to find out because people knew and never said a thing.

I only found out today that it is a repeating issue.

Well seeing I only just updated.

That is the point right. People are so fast to say, link is dead and file does not work but nothing else.

When link does work and the file works, they have nothing to say. What does that say?

Yea 12 years of the same thing, I just point out the obvious.

Yes I have the latest one, I reinstalled it yesterday trying to troubleshoot this problem. Maybe it's me being dumb and not copying the files/folders to the correct location. For example the TOC file that is withing the folder

I've been getting Zygor here from you for years, probably 10 years or more, at least. Never had a problem with the file.
Used to uncompress the .rar with winrar, till a few years ago when I upgraded to Windows 11 and then just used Windows Explorer's own builtin compressed folder tools. Never had a problem with that.

Till about a week or so ago.
Suddenly getting the same error as the above person you quoted.
So, I downloaded WinRAR, use that and no problems. But it's still the same error if I try to use Win11's builtin tool.
I've tried Window's tools to uncompress other .rar and .zip files with no problem, but it just won't work anymore on the zygor .rar file from here.

I have a possible option

Load the game
Delete the savedvaribles for the addon and delete the addon
Install the addon, do not /reload
Install the guides, then /reload

That way it might create new files off the new install.

Yes Windows doesnt work with that .rar, just use Winrar. You will probably need to open WinRar manually, go to the folder and extract it. Should work then

yes windows extract but I have never had an issue extracting the files before using the same method i tried last night.

I have now downloaded WinRar and it has extracted fine.

But seeing you think it is not posted because you never checked you want to buy it.
Well nothing is stopping you supporting the developer.

I get nothing for the time used on this. So no I am in no rush to post an update the second a update comes out, as many expect.

Heck, some people expect me to quit my job and live and only post updates the second it comes out because "people cannot live without it, their life depends on it".
That is disturbing because that is worse than a drug addict.

You instead chose to download the whole directory for 1 file that would add it to a zip file.
