MUST Follow the following steps:
1: you get Final Fantasy 11 installed. and download this file "SpiraXI.zip" from SpiraXI.zip
2: Copy "Update files" into your ProgramFiles/PlayOnline/Square Enix/Final Fantasy XI/ directory.
OR: Windows 7 64 bit, this directory is in ProgramFiles(x86) instead.
3: Open up the file called "ffxiupdate.bat."
4: Open up POL and add a member with the ID as 12345678 and the name as 12345678.
5: Back at the POL main menu, select "Check Files" option. (should have alist to pick from, and select FFXI)
6: After scan, it will tell you have an error. Then you click "Fix Files." .
7: Close anything that has to do with POL down
8: Open up the folder "Server" and run "MySQL.bat."
9: Next, open up the folder "SpiraXI" and run "SpiraXI.exe"
10: Open up the folder "mXI" and run "mXI.exe" AS ADMINSTRATOR.
Now you can make your char and join our server and have a world of fun!!!

Was able to log in, then exited out to put it into window mode.
Logging back in, it loads halfway up to "PlayOnline active content", sits for a minute
then I'm getting error: POL-0260

Love the server dude. However 2 of my char's righteous and sinister are bugged. Righteous is trapped in moghouse and when i log it gives me an error. My other char same account Sinister is also trapped in moghouse with same error and this char's inventory vanished and i cant add anything with @additem. Please see what you can do to move these 2 char's out of moghouse and see if you can fix Sinister inventory problem. If you can not please delete these char's because i have tried, so i can start over with a new account and keep my names.

Was able to log in a bunch of times but all the times i logged in mxi encountered a error and needed to shutdown... I know im close i seen the final fantasy 11 icon at the top of the browser it was just black and shut down, but now i cant even log in to mXI. I get this message when i try, something about the accept failed?

I got the wings of the goddess expansion thinking it would fix the problem and sure enough the same problem occured, i click mXI and it says final fantasy xi on the top of the boxed screen but then immediately crashes.
Saying mXI has encountered a problem and needs to shut down, with the debug dont send and send to microsoft etc etc...
When i update my final fantasy with the SpiraXI update folder i get the 10093 error when trying to log in...
If i just leave the default data that was in there when i downloaded final fantasy XI it allows me to connect but instantly crashes?
I have tried everything, it cant be my graphics card i mean this game takes nearly nothing to run...
So im guessing im still not up to date with your private servers meaning im missing a recent update file or something idk.
I would play on my original account but i took a break for a year and when i tried to sign in the other day it said my account was banned lol, probably due to inactivity and/or if i remember correctly i did not pay the last month when i quit.

Ok was able to create character and actually logged into game one time then got d/c after about 10 minutes. Now when I try to log in I select character and it gets stuck on "Notifying lobby server of current selections" then it times out connection. Any help please?

Since you got in the game it should be working fine. The reason you got the notify lobby server is cause the server crashes alot and has been down more than up. So keep trying and eventually you will get in just like the rest of us.

So I decided to go to best buy today to buy the FFXI ultimate collection, Since i read somewhere that if you tried using a downloaded (Pirate) version you would have problems...
I understand why now, but wish someone had mentioned it, Or i did not come across it on the forums.
Basically i needed to download the full 8 hour (20,000) + files for FFXI in order to get into the private server so,
All i was getting with the pirated version was the POL update...
I did create a 30 day free trial just to get this update and now everything is working fine.
Lol @ Fuck Square server name
Also about that FFXI caculator can you mod your character? i really would like to be what i was previously instead of doing everything from scratch. 75SMN 75RDM
