Moving to a dedicated server

how does minecraft keep profiting and stay popular?..im just a noob in these things but seems like their game plans make them quite a bit of money!

I agree that 1.7 has all the essentials to play the full game. But even though the server is offline, people still want to feel the sense of progression and earning cash and even getting a reward card after a race. It's a small thing to some people, yes. But it's a big thing for others and if it's added it's there forever.

But I see what you mean about the encryption. It sucks, 1 asshole breaks the rules and spoils it for everyone.

From what I understand of the above, the server will be seen by them as 'derivative works from EA Software', hence I felt the urge to spend a few comments about it. If this turns out to be true or not would be useless speculation. I just wanted to point this out to you, perhaps see it as some bad antivirus 'false positive'. No hard feelings though, it's great to see the devotion to this game. That's why my guts tell me it's better to bring offline version out of beta first before throwing it onto some real server. berkay, anti-cheat, which you are making, can control, than all players uses non-edited atributes.bin? Because at mp races cosmic-nos and other mods is the same thing as cheats

i can just run hash checks to verify files, that's simple stuff.

berkay, in case you haven't answered a similar question I would like to ask if you and your team plan to add level based unlocks, similar to the old times?

I'm not entirely sure, it's not something I actually care about but when server is stable and runs for quite a bit I'll take a look.

I'll add that I have net connection problems - I can play Offline whenever I want instead of worrying about error 5.

For this reason, I would like to see 1.7+economy as the last offline release.

I appropriate it that NFS needs an online-version some day.

But at the moment I can't support it, but in the near future maybe.

I also wanna see, maybe if it's possible, the version 1.8 offline before it comes to an online-version, that depends on the amount of players. :)

I'd really like to see 1.8 released as well but I don't see it happening. If its released without encryption Vitaleks will steal it, but if it is encrypted, the people who want to modify the game won't be able to which will result in them using 1.7 anyway. Me personally, I could care less about mods. All I need is all the tracks unlocked and I'm set.

But anyway, I don't know how die hard you are but I made my own rules and rewards in notepad which I plan to use to give myself a sense of progression with unlockable cars and stuff like that. Most people will think it's stupid but it's better than nothing in my opinion. Just thought i'd offer you an idea.

Anything about chat in freeroam? Hope it'll be back ;) Are you able to modify map/add new races? That would be cool to see Canyons from NFS Carbon that was promised long time ago(if it's possible, if both games runs on same engine it shouldn't be a big prob)

About the Attributes.bin file...

I honestly hope you allow the use of each car having "Cosmic" NOS, I can't stand several cars having nitrous that performs far worse than others, it can easily make alot of races lopsided all because of the perfect start.

This would suck, because people who don't like it would be pushed to alter their files anyway in order to keep up with others. And if it wouldn't be allowed to alter the file, then people like you would be pissed. So this kinda creates two types of players within the community... :confused:
