For all the people that thought the project was dead, you were all wrong! :D
We just worked hard on it everyday, and now we are going to build a community because we would like to know your opinion about the game development!

At the moment we made a private group of facebook where we will post many polls to see your preferences about the game developing! And of course, we will share also news and images about the game.

this means:
- No Upgrades
- No PilotBio
- No Techfactory
- No Apis\Zeus (with that cheap "craft screen")
- No Pusat
- No LF-4
- No Drone Formation

that right? i mean, some of these features can be mined and improved, since BP "wanted to make it fair" but ended going for P2W opts.

Nope, here no pay 2 win. Also, it will contains many functionality like crafting or something moar, but completly not p2w.

Just for example (and describe a bit, only a bit!) our R&D section. For example you are player of Devidian Confederacy. Complete missions and earn Devidian Reputation Marks. Research will be x4000 Marks, x200 Heavy Manufacturing, x500 Dilithium. After you accure and donate all required resources, here the ETA to complete research, and you will got your reward (for example 8:00 hours of ETA, and as reward - you will got weapon, bonus, etc.) Normally you have a 3 personal research slots, x1 production queue. Premium - x5 research slots, x3 production queues. Well, you will got anyways any game content.

Here completly new systems, content and etc. Sorry for long time awaits, we are working hard on it.

Just little screenie: Procedural Generated space enviroment! (i.e. that is non static backgrounds on map, planets and etc.)

NOTE: That screenshots not contains actual gameplayUI, they from our MapEditor(also we are using them as test factory).

Here large amount of working, but... I can tell you few words about it:
1. Full united client.
2. It's our own client.
3. We are able to using sprites & *.obj *.mtl (with DDS\PNG textures).
4. Sound engine.
5. Particle Engine.
6. Render Engine.
7. Nuff said, it's fully custom and principial new game from scetch.

A: Nope, but just imagine, 3 indie developers, who has no investors, million of dollars and etc, doing high quality game... Team with 20 teammates, commercial developers, doing new game on already done engine (Unreal, CryEngine, GameBryo, etc.) 1.5-3years.
Got it? Please dont compare 3 indie devs. with 20ppl commercial team.
Q: "Maybe...release date?"
A: Soon as possible. Me and my team do it as we can, and give it so much time as we can. We are peoples too, we need sleep, eat, earn fcking money, do real life things... Yeah we know. Time make us sad too. I can only tell you - we planning run beta-test soon as possible. Right now, we are hardly working on new content. Ships, items etc. And fixing issues from our engine (i'm sure you wanna bugless game yep?)
Q: "NO LF-4 please! PETS! and etc!"
A:We understands what are you mean, but here no LF-1 too :D hehe. It's completly new game, and we are using old DO basics + our own features for it. Is DarkOrbit and no DarkOrbit both. Custom game. hmm just for lulz (names are development names, and may be chaged!) Show me LF-4 here XD

i love this project man it looks very cool i hope you guys can make it and publish it and not like the darkorbit 3D thing that looked really cool too but it died... that was sad so goodluck with your project mate :awesome:

yeah, and our engine really can uses 3D + Great thanks to Predator - any our ships are 3D models mainly, same as items and etc. Needless to say, in future, probably we can make it 3D like but real 3D, not as stuppid billboards on DarkOrbit nowadays. I can show you only some of our tests with models and ships on DarkLancer engine.


Here we have awesome concept for it, without changes mainly server code alot. 3D enviroment & 2D movement. I.e. all world objects are 3D, and you may rotate camera, but movement based on X:Y (2 coords instead X:Y:Z) coordinates. Here we have some examples of those types of games - like SpaceEmpires: StarFury by Mafaldor Machinations. (google some gameplay videos). 2D movement system will provide many features. Yeah, it will looks a bit strange, "why i cant fly up\down? only 2D moving", but it will allow us using x2 game modes - 3D & 2D view both, and also make this game less laggy (imho - serious 3D games should be client based instead of browser) and unique based. But all of this, right now just prototypes, and future of our game. Yeah, we doing our DarkLancer with long-planned features in mind. And possible, after launch + 1 year, we will see it fully 3D :)
