Chinese Open Beta Client is in... Korean!...
Ok, I just downloaded the client from the actual website.
After, I updated, its fully patched, but when I start the game, it's in Korean.
I also noticed people who where using Chinese -> English patches, the original client was in Korean as well.
Anyone else noticed this, I tried googling and searching forums to see if anyone had already mentioned it, o well.

It's probably cause you're not running the game with Chinese Language settings =)

So you mean its displaying the Unicode for Korean instead? How would I go about changing that to Chinese?
Thanks

I fixed it, for anyone with same problem, I will tell you how I did it:
I changed my Non-Unicode programs language to Chinese (RPC), my Keyboard to Chinese, I added both a US Keyboard and the Microsoft Pinyin IME 3.0 (for typing in Chinese). After this changed Location to China and Standards and Formats to Chinese (PRC).
By testing to see the start up language each time, I can safely say that your keyboard can be set to anything, and also your location. Standards and Formats though, has to be Chinese, PRC worked for me, Hong Kong did not.
I will test to see if the non-Unicode setting is a must.
Edit:
After testing the program in English UK/US non-unicode it appears to be in Chinese (with Standards and Formats as Chinese PRC) but changing it from Chinese gave me a gameguard error, this can be resolved by a quick reinstall =)
Thats my 5-cents

Well, it all depends on if they decide to see what language the host is running, plus allot of guides will be in Chinese so makes sence to have the same language as what others will be making guides for =), juuuuuust thinking ahead ^.^

why would they wanna look what language your running? if they wanted to stop non chinese to play they would just ban foreign ip's. Also the Korean site has guides for everything so there is really no point at all in changing the client to chinese unless you can actually read it.

06/17/2009 - Aion - 2 Replies
Hello all,
while trying to solve the case in my previous posting i encountered the following:
i use this link to d/l the game:
Ê¢´óÍøÂ硪¡¶ÓÀºãÖ®Ëþ¡·¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾
after i install and patch it the welcome screen appears with korean letters (possibly korean client?)
Does anyone have a 100% verified link to the Chinese verison?
