Guys I have a PC specs question to those that use multiple aion clients and vanilla.
I have a i5-7600k at 3.8GHz (4 legal cores)
And 16GB RAM (for now, I can go up to 64 in the future)
I saw that running 7 clients alone is OK, the CPU usage was merely at 60% and it was a rather crowded area for some of my chars.
BUT when I loaded the 7 vanilla tools and run them, then my cpu went to 100% (my ram was still on 75%) and everything kinda lagged, I mean vanilla was running "correctly" but my clients were not always responding as fast. I put them all to do the afk luna dailies.
My question is, when I load my 7 clients alone, my CPU is OK, if I put the chars in luna and manually drive them to places etc (and do all chars in every account) my pc manages it. The problem was that some chars couldn't finish their "chores" and then some of them kinda failed to do their script job.
Are my specs meant for less clients + vanilla? I closed one client (left with 6) and realized it went better but my CPU usage was still at 100%.
Any feedback on this?
Thanks in advance, I might have to put like 4 clients first, let them do their job and then do the rest 3.

maybe decrease the fps?
I lock my fps in 10 with 4 accounts and I get cpu 43% and gpu 60%
activate the console in the hack and click pause break
\ g_maxfps 10 or 20, 24

Exactly what I would've suggested
Any script that has a
line at the very top lets the Aion client think that the client is at foreground all the time so the normal 10 FPS cap will not work
So since you run that many clients you might wanna add your own FPS cap, you can do this trough the console like Exem Strike already mentioned or you can add 2 lines to the script so it happens automatically everytime you use the script
Just add these lines right below "#SmoothBackground"
Code:
MemPtrWrite=%AddrFPS,%OffsetFPS1,24,BYTE;
MemPtrWrite=%AddrFPS,%OffsetFPS2,24,FLOAT;
FPS will be capped at 24 then

I am going to have to check n this console thing. Where exactly is the console in the tool?
Unless you mean this is through the script itself that I should edit with notepad. Will it have an effect on my client as well?
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Edit:
I think I get it, the script itself uses the command #SmoothBackground so even if a client is runing in the background it will still get the fair amount of CPU/GPU in order for it to not run "slower" as a program that is not in front. This is done because clients in the background could probably lag and cause the script to not function on normal speeds.
This is why when I launched my 7 clients my CPU was merely at 65% with many chars being in Pandaimonium or Harbingers and when I run the script they literally went nuts in CPU usage.
So I should use this command below the #SmoothBackground in the script itself
MemPtrWrite=%AddrFPS,%OffsetFPS1,24,BYTE;
MemPtrWrite=%AddrFPS,%OffsetFPS2,24,FLOAT;
...to set all clients at a specific frame rate (lets say 10 or 15) so even though they run as if they were in foreground, they won't try to go at normal frame rates (mine run at 120 fps when one client is running, even with full graphics)
So let me give it a try.
EDIT 2:
Yes, it worked. I put 15 fps to check it, my clients end up running at 13~15 fps and they no longer take that much cpu, but even with 4 clients it is the vanilla that takes the resources. anyway. I'll keep running 4 clients at a time just to be sure. I have my main and 7 more accounts so I'll divide it to 4 first and then 3.
I might put the fps to 20 or 25 to re-check it. So far so good, the game run smooth and no character failed to do the afk luna.
Yes you understand it correctly
The CPU usage from vanilla is that huge when it waits till the run has finished, I'll fix it in 5 minutes
Edit: done, I fixed the CPU usage when the luna scripts wait till the run has finished
Super thanks for this, do I need to do anything for it to take change (like do we download a new version)?
And one last thing, where in the script can I make my last char of the account to simply either go to character screen or just logout totally from the account when he is done?
I am only asking this because I have amulets on my chars. So my last char would sit there still doing nothing and he will lose the remaining of his amulet while the other characters will only use the time needed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I need another correction on the last char, he sometimes goes to loot the meat and simply has the loot open without taking the meat loot. And some times he doesn't even try to loot it. ONLY the last character of each account.
So I guess I need to change some delay variable on the last char before it writes "finished"
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also on youtube I asked about the delay of the skill in the end. I'll write my questions and replies here only.
I am talking about this command you told me to change
Quote:
#DO=13000;
Command=/skill %Var9; 412
Delay=4000;
|
I changed it to
Quote:
#DO=21234;
Command=/skill %Var9; 412
Delay=5123;
|
The reason I put such weird numbers is for me to be able to find that line if I need to re-change it.
This way it does 3 aoe skills which is more than enough to kill all the cores and still has some time to wait till looting of the mob
Yes you need to download the latest version of the Script from the
Be sure your last toon has Attack/Chat binded to "C" as well and also you could
change this part
Code:
Command=/select %Var8;
Delay=125;
Command=/skill %Var12; 413
Delay=25;
Command=/skill %Var17; 414
Delay=750;
SendKey=0x43;
Delay=500;
SendKey=0x43;
to this
Code:
Command=/select %Var8;
Delay=125;
Command=/skill %Var12; 413
Delay=25;
Command=/skill %Var17; 414
Delay=750;
SendKey=0x43;
Delay=500;
SendKey=0x43;
Delay=500;
SendKey=0x43;
Delay=500;
SendKey=0x43;
Delay=500;
SendKey=0x43;
Alright I did it, I understand that what I change in the script is that the character hits the "c" button many times before he stops looting, thus leaving no room for error due to lag etc.
And please let me know the command that totally closes the client. When the message "finished" is shown I also want it to close my client if possible.
Replace any of these lines
Code:
WaitForResponse=Finished;
with this line
Code:
#QuitAtRound=-1,True;
Oh hell yeah, just take a look, 3 clients locked at 20 fps in "waiting for the npcs to finish their job" time
And I am sorry if I am irritating you with all the "corrections" I am asking on the scripts for me (I think they will serve everyone though, especially the CPU usage thing you just made)
But I noticed all my chars enter luna, take the 3 aether things, then get stuck in the door, waiting patiently 2 minutes (or however the red timer is before you open the door), then the timer reaches 0, the door opens automatically and they proceed to use the three aether, 1st canon option, and then they go to waiting area.
Does the script try to open the door and fail in my case, or did you make it like this on purpose?
My chars get stuck in the door and they don't seem to open it (simply click and use it).
thank you so much, this tool is all I needed. I'll recommend this to everyone.
And the weekly one also doesn't start the instance, it goes next to the thing that needs to be used in order for the rocks to blow and start the instance, but it only sits there and the timer needs to reach 0 in order to start automatically.
