After the surprising announcement of the exchange function, there is again fantastic news about the legendary Pokémon from the first generation. The developer John Hanke, who is working for Niantic Labs, announced at the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona that Pokémon will appear like Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, and Mew this year. So far it is unsure when the official release date will be. At the moment, only three major updates are planned. This includes, but not limited to, a new arena combat system, which is to be completely revised, the already mentioned exchange function and a Coop feature.
In addition, all 151 Pokémon of the first generation would have been in the game as soon as they were added. The developers have also promised that the second-generation Pokémon will not be long after the release. This means that everyone can look forward to Entei, Raikou, Suicune, Celebi, Ho-Oh and Lugia. However, no specific dates have yet been given out. Whether it is announced before, or whether the release takes place spontaneously it remains to be seen.
