Star Wars: The Old Republic - free from 15th November
Good news for the fans of "Star Wars" franchise. Next week on November 15 the online game Star Wars: The Old Republic will be playable for free. The gamers will be able to get up to level 50, without paying a cent. In all likelihood, however, not all features of the game will be unlocked.
Electronic Arts had promised several months ago that Star Wars: The Old Republic will be free. With this promise they hoped to keep constantly diminishing audience of the online game.
For their competitors, it looks better, especially for World of Warcraft from Blizzard, which, according to BBC, again, there are more than 10 million active players. Overall, however, the number of fans of the game dropped steadily and now has stabilized around 9.1 million.
According to experts, the most popular on the market today is a Mists of Pandaria from Blizzard, which brought in Activision revenue of $ 226 million only for the period from July to September. Of course, this is not surprising, given that the cost of the expansion is a 25 pounds.
