it isn't exactly "new sro" but it is a separated game.
the e-mails that WeMade sent to the press clearly stated Silkroad-R is a game on its own.
you can ask Omer from MMOHut or Spunkify if you want (you can try asking JamesBl0nde, the head editor of OnRPG, but I don't think he will answer).
in other words, ask any press member in the MMO world and he will tell you what WeMade (Joymax) sent to him.

Anyone tried this with any success? I was using edxLoader, redirecting gateway and agent to 84.108.116.131:15779 but when I launch the game the SilkroadR Guard pops up, loads a little, then closes and nothing else happens.

I was on that server trying out SRO-R earlier but I got a DC and havn't tried since , I used the private server loader which worked fine, can't wait for the beta to start now
