If people kill the demons you lose your soul link.
But due to the changes in 1.9 this won't work anymore
What you do is you enslave the demon, cast soul link, and release.
You can do this multiple times and when you do it enough you pretty much have infinite damage absorbtion until the demons die, or until you get too far away from...
