Lightbulb Texture Upscaling & Customization Project - it's habbening

Mai waifu got my back.



I've been playing around with upscaling some of the teensier S4 textures, which has been a real wild ride considering HOW **** SMALL THEY ARE



Here's a non-Saber version for anyone who wants it:

And .DDS's of both for actual use in-game.


For whatever reason, the standard PS texture can be found at ../resources/model/weapon/kal3_atex.dds



I was reviewing my screenshots and immediately realised that they were missing something.
There. Now it's art.


More to come, and I'm happy to answer any requests anyone might have.

The next absolutly new and unexpected thing for you to discover is, that you can turn on anti-aliasing via your graphic-card-software...

Sure, why not.
../resources/model/character/hair/32_female_hair_atex.dds
Replace whatever number you is the colour you have. No number is the default yellowish, _1 is white, and _2 is the funny green colour.



This is really just the etex, if you'd prefer something a little less blinding/more natural looking let me know.



All I did was darken and recontrast the original, but I think it works.
Inverting it made the hair look all greasy because the shading became inverted too...

As for upscaling these, while I'll admit the back doesn't look great, they're not as bad as the PS or some other textures. Sometime soon, maybe, but not yet.

Used to, along with a few other enhancements, but I decided I prefer the look without anti-aliasing. Makes it easier to record on the fly, too.

There was a download somewhere on this forum. The problem with this is that I don't have the models for the guns and newer swords, let alone any clothing or map chunks, and it would be REALLY useful to know what parts of the texture are actually being used in the UVs. At some point or another, I'll probably have to embark on an incredibly annoying quest to get those other models into my hands.

You could ask or to send you the converted models .

Why not me? Cuz i stopped working on my tool long time ago and at it's current state it's not possible to convert weapons/clothes. So only for maps, but unfinished.
