I do see that Accuracy has been added, though, thanks. I'm looking forward to trying it out when I have a computer that...er, works.
Problem I see with ANY use of Bat is that it's slow, and easily countered just by SP-dodging out.
Jump crit= dodge out, <insert weapon here> to the face
Light smack (or "love tap", if you will, hurrhurr) crit= dodge out during flight, now they're out of range. Though you CAN, like you said, throw and blow :v
Still though, a jump crit or smack+wallslam is a pretty good finisher against someone with only 1/2~3/4hp. 'specially Jump, seeing as it's almost as fast as a dagger rush (pity about the range).
They really should make some attempt to balance it better with the other melee weapons. At this point it's only decent for surprise crits and wallslams, something that dagger and PS respectively can already do...better.

proper homeruns are awesome. Get them to within 40hpish of death, then WHACK, they go flying clear across the map with 0hp and have to wait until they land to "die" and wait for respawn. s'awesome in small rooms, when you can pause for a moment and watch'em.
