Where are the potion, scroll and essence drops?

Hi, i am currently using the Arcadia Repack 1.2 with the AOR 622 client.
Most things does work very fine. Greetings to the people of the ncarbon/arcadia project. I thank you very much for your work/fixes you have already done so far.

Currently there is one thing i could not find a solvation for.
When i am playing with the current release, based on the DB from AR 1.2 using the AoR client, there are absolutely no drops like Potions, Scrolls and Essences.

To be precise, the following items do not drop at all:

Red Potion Lv1 to Lv8, Blue Potion Lv1 to Lv8
Restoration Scroll Lv1 to Lv8, Mana Recovery Scroll Lv1 to Lv8
Quick Potion, Quick Potion Deluxe, Quick Potion Superior
Wind Potion, Wind Potion Deluxe, Wind Potion Superior
Spell Potion, Spell Potion Deluxe, Spell Potion Superior
Essence of power, Concentrated power
Return scroll (Dropped at TI only!)

I have take a look into the tables of the Arcadia db, namely
dbo.MonsterResource
dbo.DropGroupResource
and of course
dbo.ItemResource

In the dbo.MonsterResource, every Monster row has 10 columns from "drop_item_id_00"
to "drop_item_id_09" with negative number references to the dbo.DropGroupResource

In the dbo.DropGroupResource every DropGroup row has also 10 columns from
"drop_item_id_00" to "drop_item_id_09" with positive number references to an
item in dbo.ItemResource or negative number references to another DropGroup in
dbo.DropGroupResource.

If i only could kill that blind bastard who had created these crap structured
database tables ...

The DropGroups for the above list of items are:
-3000151,
-3000150,
-3000083,
-3000043,
-602510,
-602001,
-602540,
-602550,
-602560,
-602570,
-602580,
-602590,
-602600,
-602610,
-602620,
-602630,
-602640,
-602650

The problem is, not any single one mob in the dbo.MonsterResource refers to one
of these DropGroups. No reference = No item which is in one of these DropGroups
will drop at all. Return scroll dropped only at Trainee's Island, so there must
be a DropGroup that i have not found.

My question, especially to the people from the arcadia project:

Have you modified the dbo.MonsterResource table and cleared these entries
or is most of that table untouched?

I understand that when the drop rate is extremely high, these items will
overflow every player, but i would prefer to get these drop.

I am currently busy in fixing the dbo.MonsterResource, by adding these
DropGroups manuelly to the dbo.MonsterResource depending on mob level
and mob location.

Any suggestions or even better, a fixed dbo.MonsterResource ?

I use v1.2 too and those items do drop on my server.
btw, just looking up a single dropgroup wont work.
Search for the item id in the drop groups, then search for the dropgroup that contains this dropgroup, etc etc. my guess is, that eventually you eill find a single drop group that contains all red pots, all blue pots etc and there might be one group that includes those, so basically every item has the same drop chance. once youve found all thiose groups you can start searching for those inside the monsterresource table.

example:

-4101701 R7 armors, weapons, rings etc. (no drop in MonsterResource)

-4003701 to -4003708 contains -4000227 to -4000238 (drop in MonsterResource)
-> -4000227 to -4000238 contains -4000133 to -4000204
-> -4000133 to -4000204 contains all R7 weapons

-4002701 to -4002708 mixture of -400370X und -400170X (no drop in MonsterResource)

-4001701 to -4001708 conatins -4001009 bis -4001021 (drop in MonsterResource)
-> -4001009 to -4001021 odd: armors R7
-> -4001009 to -4001021 even: boots, belts, gloves R7

On the other hand e.g. -4000133 which contains a R7 weapon directly, isnt dropped by any monster. Instead -4003701 is dropped, which contains the weapon of -4000133 and many more, all with the same chance to be dropped.

yes, im go to crazy, why dropping potion, scroll and essence drops nothing. im fixed all missing. but still nothing this potion, scroll, essence drops. please help us.

??? whats your problem, dude?? i was trying to help ppl,,, cause too many guys dont know how to use SQL. So, I did DropRules with all rules re-edited as SQL script to help guys fix those problems and improve drops. BTW, I released DropRules 1.3 yesterday with new fixes.
So, are u sure I dont wanna help them????

Very nice, but where is your release? I do not see here any link and the search function (that wonderful useful thing xD) give me no result.

Am I blind?

And sorry, doesn't want to throw rocks, but as I wrote before, cannot find your DropRules here. So it seems to me your post was useless, but if you really released your DropRules v1.3 and I am just to blind, I apologize.

I personally fixed the drops, that were missing the time as I opened this thread, but if the DropRules of egurgle are even an improvement, I would say to anyone with such a problem, use them.

I can not use it. Even so, I registered there at the site. I do not receive any verfication mail or such thing. I can log in there, but 99% of the forum or related pages are not accessible for me, due to insufficient permissions.
The best thing there is, I can not even modify my own profile data, such as mail address or anything other.

Fixed: DropRules-eGurgle 1.4

As I promissed, my scripts to update MonsterResource and DropGroupResource tables.
I got the proper association to drop rules and I edited values to a nice gameplay.

MonsterResource table has 10 drop_item_id_xx and percentage + min and max_count.
Bellow I described what row (xx from drop_item_id_xx) means and the percentage I configured.

To use my scripts just open it and hit F5 (you must be connected to database).
Follow this sequence: Drop00-Stones to Drop11-URSA-Fix.
Drop10-Boss will create Special Boss and Drop11-URSA-Fix will remove drops from Ursa Mobs EXCEPT Empty Pets (you can disable this if you wish).

and use this line in gameserver.opt to use my rules. Don't forget to recompress it

Thank you very much, from what I have seen so far these fixed and modded DropRules are excellent. For those of us with SQL knowledge, looking into these SQLs will surely help to understand the drop system in rappelz.
