If you cant play due to the fact that you are using the latest version of the client and you need the 109 version -
then run it, select the language for the installation, select the folder with the game for example: D: \ Games \ Tera
click install, wait - after the end put a check "Create a shortcut on rab.stole" and run the label.

INTRODUCTION:
I'm very excited about the private community for Tera Online, and right now most of it is in Korean / Russian, and because of this it is difficult to figure out how to do things. I don't know Russian but I do know how to make the game run!

DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS:
1) The first thing that you need to do is download the Korean client. This will take a while but there's a torrent and there's plenty of seeders. Please seed after you're done downloading! Here's the link: (you'll probably need to register to their site in order to download the torrent). The actual page where the torrent is located at is found here:

2) You'll need to create an account for the server so once everything is installed you can login and enjoy the game. Register at this website:

3) Now download the client

Make sure you keep the client somewhere, where you'll be able to grab it during the installation...

SETUP INSTRUCTIONS:
Once you have successfully downloaded the specific torrent, you will need to extract all the files into an English folder (Not Korean). Before you do this YOU WILL NEED Microsoft .net Framework 4. You can get this by running windows update and selecting Microsoft .net Framework 4 or you can download it here:

1) Make Sure that your path looks like C:\TERA\ NOT C:\TERA\TERA -1\ **NOTE: It can be drive D:\ drive E:\ etc... **



2) After about half an hour of extracting all the files, you will need to delete C:\TERA\version.ini



3) Now because version.ini is deleted, a new one will be created in its place when you run TERA_Invoker.exe (RUN THIS!)

4) It may take a minute before it updates and be sure to disable firewalls and virus scanners so you don't run into errors (this may take a while)

5) Close the window and a notification will ask you ????????? just select yes to confirm that you want to close the application

6) Now version.ini (C:\TERA\version.ini) has been recreated from the korean patcher. Edit it and where you see "CDSIP: xxx.xxx.xxx" (x's can be whatever) replace the IP address with "193.169.87.245" (without quotes) [SAVE then EXIT]



7) Now place the client that you downloaded earlier into C:\TERA\CUTera_SmartLaunch.exe



8) Run CUTera_SmartLaunch.exe and login with your credentials



9) Wait for Game Guard to update... There may be an error message about a file being invalid, ignore it and eventually you'll get a purple screen with two buttons. Click on the highlighted purple button on the left.



10) Select the server and click on the button on the left (the right one will refresh the server list)



11) Create your character and enjoy the game!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q) I see a server but it won't load, and when I refresh it's not there anymore, why's that?
A) Most likely the server is down for maintenance or has crashed. It should be back up soon if you see that. Be sure to check to see if others are having this issue. If you look at the website translation image, you'll be able to tell how many people are logged in, and if there are 0 people logged in then you know it's not just you. Right now the sever compares file-size and so when there's an update, the server may be inaccessible until it's corrected.


Q) What keys do I use to play the game?
A) You will have to use both your mouse and keyboard unless you setup a controller. Here's a chart:




Q) How big is Tera?
A) It's 19gb compressed, and up to 30gb uncompressed

Q) What file should I use to load Tera?
A) Use CUTera_SmartLaunch.exe. You can right click the file and send a shortcut to desktop to make it easier.

Q) Why can't I do [insert thing] in the game?
A) Not all functions are completed yet, so you can't buy Items and do various other things. The developers are still working on this, and they're working hard at it.

Q) Are there quests yet?
A) Not yet, hopefully soon!

Q) Is there an English patch yet?
A) None that will work with a private server, but keep your eyes peeled!

Q) My game crashed and now Game Guard won't connect and gave me an error, what can I do?
A) ALT+CTRL+DEL your way to the task manager and terminate HgSel.exe (end task) this should do the trick! (Thanks Kr1ck!)

Hey i have a problem i cant play also... i open Newteralauncher.exe than i login and start after than gameguard patching after this a window open and screen in only black.

that's because you try to play with English patch they just don't work also server sometimes goes off

no i will try to test if i can play on the server than i will patch in englisch but i cant play without the englisch patch. I follow all steps of the instruction but after gameguard is patching it open a window and its only black but i can see the game mouse icon
