1) The launcher can't find the nfsw.exe
Use the button in the launcher and navigate to where your game data is. Look for nfsw.exe NOT the nfsw-launcher.exe.
Default location for nsfw.exe:
C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\Need for Speed World\Data (the folder is hidden by default, you might need to enable "Show hidden folders" in order to be able to find it)
How to find it quickly:
Program Data folder is NOT Program Files!Quote:
If the servereditor starts asking for nfsw.exe and presents to you the OpenFile box, typeand hit enter.Code:%PROGRAMDATA%
It will show the contents of the hidden c:\programdata folder without the need of changing any settings for hidden folders.
Next just enter the Need for Speed\DATA folder and there is your nfsw.exe
2) I get error 5 or error 13
In order:
*)
**) Launch the server with ADMIN rights
***) Check that you have all dependencies properly installed (especially Java)
You NEED to install them using ADMIN rights otherwise they won't work properly.
****) Wait 20-30 seconds after launching the server before launching the game
*****) Disable AV and/or firewall.
3) I don't have the game data anymore

Too bad. You can't back up a profile now, the servers are DOWN. But you can play using the default persona or one that has been backed up and uploaded by berkay.
5) Where do I install a modded attributes.bin?
Where your game data is (see question 1), folder GLOBAL.
