Crafable monster spawners
Crafting recipe determines spawner type
Recipes are in the screenshots
Look at the inventory also – it tells what to place in the middle for different spawner types.
Spawner block was not changed, all your spawner mods will still work.
Don’t expect all animals to spawn anywhere.
Monsters need darkness
Passive mobs need grass.
Squids need water.
Slimes need depth and their special chunks.
Spawned sheep will have random fur, and this cannot be changed.
What exactly does this mod?These recipes will give you “Spawner Builder” item. When you use this item, it will create a spawner with the specific monster inside. This spawner is the usual, in-game, nothing new.

Once you build your spawners and you have no more Spawner Builders, you can freely remove this mod.
The middle item determines spawner type.

Egg – chicken
Wool – sheep
Arrow – skeleton

Feather – zombie
Gunpowder – creeper
Ink Sack – squid
Bone – wolf
Slimeball – slime
Cooked Porkchop – zombie pigman
TNT – ghast
Alternate recipe: the Monster Spawner block (pig spawner) + mob’s specific item
For example, take the monster spawner, and craft it with string, and you get the spider spawner.
This mod requires modloader.
