I have noticed for a lot of time a big problem in the scene, and it is, that the creators are often not rewarded in any way for their work. Sometimes it gets leaked and published; sometimes you try to sell it, but you probably don't have the means to reach all the potential buyers, beyond announcing it in your forum signature or creating a website like for example CrystalPrime or Plechito have done, but it's not easy to promote a website either and draws time from your core task of creating. Furthermore, some people sell other's work for profit without permission. In conclusion: your work generates profit, but very often this profit doesn't go to the creator (or a very small part of it)
I'm very modest as a creator but what would happen if Tim got even just 1€ from each person who used his FileArchiver? Or CrystalPrime each time someone used his game UI?
I bet people like these and many that I could mention would feel more motivated to create something even better if their work was rewarded in some way.
Therefore I thought of creating a website that would work like a marketplace for creators all over the world of original content for Metin2
Authors could set a price for their creations, or even set a voluntary payment or donation, which would be processed by a payment system and the earnings sent to each creator every month (for example)
The advantage for private server owners would be having easy access to a huge amount of resources, and getting support/updates if applicable from the creators themselves.
Before going forward with this project, I would like to read your oppinions, especially from developers, designers and server owners. Would you make use of such a service to publish your creations? Would you make use of this service to find new features to add to your server?
