Duo'd with him to challenger in SoloQ / 5v5 / 3v3. The accounts are totally legit. Remember theres only 50 of these in each region (soloq),

Not true, they will give challengers (10-20) to those with high MMR before they got kicked out.

if you have the challenger icon it means the season has already ended and you have challenger. but the rewards come later in TR. i didn't get it either.
on EUW u get it like almost instantly.

and btw. u can trust this guy. i played with him in the same ranked team. gl selling it.
