wanted to know. lets say someone who is dia and duo q with someone silver in placements. if the dia guy wins 8/10 will he get plat 1 and hold his mmr? or will his mmr drop?
There's a duoq restriction (or how is it called?). Diamond players aren't allowed to duoq with silvers, only with platinum and master and silver players are allowed to duoq with bronze and gold (and silver). I'm pretty sure that's the same if you are unranked (s4 rating).

I thought you cannot duo with someone who is not in your League bracket. Which means Diamond 1 player can only duo with people who are as low as Diamond 5.
