i got myself to Gold V, i started the Game about the end of s2.
My Pool was like this, and instead of playing only 1-2 "op" champs get a championpool of viable - or even so called "op" Champs.
Top: Shen,Singed,Renekton
Jungle: J4, Elise, Nasus
Mid: Wukong, Nidalee, TF
Support: Thresh, Sona, Janna, Nami
ADC: only Ezreal, i suck at adc.
if u rly want to climb to Gold V u should never flame at ppl, just stay cool and try 2 win Team fights, try to coordinate your Team(e.g group up at Dragon, do Baron bait).
Also u should usually pick what ur Team needs, and what the enemy team has, so if they have a Vayne u should consider to pick Nasus, if enemy top is Shen u might want to pick Singed and so on...

oh and btw, this might be not so important as one usually doesnt Firstpick aka ban champions but what i usually banned was sth like:
Vayne, Zed, Zac, Blitz.
maybe ban Thresh but i usually pick him up, when i have firstpick
