Timed Out
Hello everyone,im making my own private server and everything went well while making it,i followed every step from a tutorial on YouTube.
But i have a problem,when i try to connect to KATAR1 the message "Timed Out" appears,so i tried changing the ports to 4101,still didnt work.
Now,ive put all ports back to 4001,but even worse,i cant log in,the "Timed Out" message appears.

Yes,i dont have a password for "root",thats because whenever i put one in,i could not connect to My_SQL on Navicat,i dont think thats the problem.
Please help me,it will be appreciated alot

huhu,
I think ur Problem is, that u use on all Servers (Connector, helper , Gameserver ... ) the same Port.
U need to make for every Server the an own Port.
example:
Gameserver: 4001
Helper: 4002
Connector: 4003
Login Server: 4004
Cash Server: 4005
than it should work.

What doyou mean by "Cash Server"? Is it the Messenger or the Billing?
Just tried but still not working

Cash Server: 8888 Port on Connector and Billing-Server and his IP: 127.0.0.1 dont a another IP for the Billing-Server youse.

The sam Billing-Server = CashServer
Connector = Connector

one the first look. its right^^
U have only to give them Connector, Gameserver, helper, Login Server , messenger and chash-Server a own port.
If the game server cry for the helper wich has the same port like the Connecter its cant work^^

When the gameserve says that he cant connect to the helper for example then is the port in the gameserver newstobm
Not the same as in the newstobm
Of the helper.
And in the sl.dta u must write the local ip and the port from the Loginserver
Then the Loginserver redirect u with the connector ( function of the connector= connection from the loginserver to the Gameserver) tothe gameserver an it should be work.

I think its stupid, port configuration isn't your problem.
Code:
Billing = 8888
Connector = 4006
Messenger = 4100
Helper = 3000
Login = 4001
Game = 4110
Your problem is something else that is blocking you from connecting to your own server.

Look first post he always get the same port on ervery Server-.-
But u are right i think he have also other problems.
Right settings in the Firewall?
Which antivirus do u use?
Do u have any other Server on ur PC?

Firewall is desactivated,i use AntiVir free version and i dont have any other servers.
I formatted my PC today so i think im gonna retry to make one,ill tell you if i succeeded or not.

Hey,
habe eben mal an meinem Root FinalMt2 Like Full RAM gemacht. Dann habe ich Server Rebootet , was normalerweise nur 20 Min oder so dauert. Wenn ich jetzt nach 2 Stunden versuche in Putty reinzukommen steht da immer: "Network Error. Connection timed out"
Was hat das zu bedeuten?

I tried to use this source.
Well, I can not login, when I created an account, it generated password (Saw in console). Since this signal that is connected to the database correctly.
But every time I try to login, a message appears:
"Error: Disconnected with game server. Please login the game again!"
And in the prompt also appears:
" Loaded: 7822 items in 110MS
