Well i got the files the problem is im trying to edit everything because the lan game of HoN is too old. and there are missing characters..I tried to edit it to update it and still working on it but i am having a hard time now. I already made the other characters to be shown on the hero select part but the problem is when i choose example Magmus which is in version 1.66 the lan HoN only uses 1.28.1 i think. you can choose magmus but you can't use his first skill same with the other heroes like the OWL. i don't know but mostly the first skill doesn't work. but the others like Valkyrie which uses the Arrow works well. The only problem is that other heroes skills won't work. Tried everything possibly i can do. I want to work on this Lan type game because i want to reduce the lag when using an online and on Lan you don't need to login anymore its like the Dota itself creating on Lan.

And ive been playing HoN on a private server now and its updated it is 1.66.1 i think which is the same as the official. When i got the old files of Lan i tried to copy the updated files from the HoN P. Server to the Running Lan version HoN. Well all of the heroes came up but some skills won't work. Any help on this would be highly appreciated. Let's work with it. I think it is possible to work on it without logging in anymore. And btw the HoN P.server is free you can make an account anytime you want just wait around 5 to 10 minutes before you can log in. here is the link [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] I'm not promoting this site or something but if you don't like it i can edit it and remove it ASAP. The private server has around 300-500 players and mostly spanish but there are also a lot of Pinoy players playing here.

i have that version too!! it would be nice to have it with 1.66 version for a lan party or so. anyways if u can teach some things like how did u introduced the charactes my mail is [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
ps what u can do too is to find what file manages the options to unblock LOCAL GAME and do it for a newer version.

just open the resources0.s2z and the textures.s2z and compare the old one to the new one then you can use the other heroes..im just experimenting with that you can open those two files using winrar then drag and drop the new files to the old compressed files..and try it...make sure you make a back up coz sometimes i forgot how to bring it back to original. try copying the heroes folder from the new s2z files to the old ones. then run the hon.exe ( lan version ). and btw don't update it all coz it will not let you open a game through the local game.

yo nyomie i this is my latest findings on the lan thing. i discovered that in order to activate lan u can do by moding the main.interface file in ui folder u can put it in the version 1.66 and it unlocks the lan option but the bad thing is when you want to create a game i says it cant be done because the server request cannot be found. there must be some other file that manages the local games but i still dont know which is it. if u find something out tell me ok. ill be experimenting a little bit more to see if i can get it right

it could be but im not a programmer expert but i manage to bring up local game option on the problem is that i cant create the game yet but if someone with java programming skills takes up a chance to do it can definitely be done ill put some images so you can see

@ ifrit i got that one two. what i did to get into that is that i copied the hon.exe file to the updated HoN files then used the textures from the old one. and came up with that. My theory here is that there are still files that we need to modify. coz i tried copying the cgame.dll and the game.dll because they don't have the same size look at their bytes size, we need to modify these files too so that the client will not try to connect to the server and just run as a local game. i know there are dll editor but i don't know how to edit those editors. If we only have a lot of participants that will voluntarily help us especially those modders and programmers at least. then we can make this thing right. It's not impossible.

@ifrit
if you can try activating it without logging in would be nice. Coz if you are logged in maybe that's the problem that it tries to connect to a server thats why it asked for an invalid connection request only a few bit more and all things will work hopefully ^^

yeah you can create a HoN lan using the 1.24.1 version which is the oldest one. I already tried playing that one on Lan and tested it...It's really working.. The only thing we are trying to do now is to play the updated one on LAN.
