Well, we finally made it, so make sure to check out the super awesome fully open LUA API and ofcourse the gw2minon-bot itself! Some users already created and shared their first LUA coded tools too, like a fully automated "get the most crowded spot in PvP and shoot into it with your arrow cart" (yes, no LOS needed lol!)
It is especially interesting for people who are able / who want to code some little nifty tools with the lua functions we make available for everyone for free. It will stay free for people who help the community and share their work!

After a week of whipping our BetaMinions to break gw2minion , opening gw2minion for everyone to test for free.
Although gw2minion is not yet where it will be in some weeks, I'm pretty sure I'm not exaggerating when saying that other bots were faster on the market, but this is by far the most awesome and superior out there.

We are constantly adding new functions to the code, the wiki and the bot itself. In some weeks, we will most likely have a 1-button-to-80 PvE bot. But that was never our goal to begin with, most of the candy will come from YOU and the nice community that slowly gathers around gw2minion. Some of our betaminions already shared their own first little Lua modules in our forum.
We try our best to stay in direct contact with you guys all the time and pick up your ideas.

Its not safe to use bots now. A lot was banned from their automated scanning system. (well its what I understood from one of Anet's reply in their forums)

You need to understand how their scanning system works, then you are safe.

I assume it is based on a self learning, neural network which detects bots by looking for sets of behaviors it has identified with a particular bot. It most likely uses statistical evaluations of movement patterns, skill usage and alike. Every time a bot gets detected, the algorithm "learns" how to detect variations of the bot. This assumption is made based on the type of specialists they hired for the bot detection task and what is most efficient nowadays.

How to deal with that detection?

Whatever you do, your bot may NOT share behaviors with other bots. The more alike bots this system encounters, the better it becomes at detecting them. This means: Even though it is comfortable, DON'T use public scripts. Write your own.

Second, your bot must alternate it's behavior over time, it may not be caught following some obviously deterministic path. Easy to solve though, build your OWN paths, make multiple paths per map and make your bot follow a random one at crossings.

Third, bring a random factor in everything you do. Delay usage of non-autoattack by a random time, delay target selection, smooth movement and character rotation. But make sure it's REALLY random, that means don't just choose a random value but also modify median and variance so you don't get caught by history base statistical analysis (this equals the varying performance of players). If your bot acts kind of "drunk", then it's perfect, it also reduces the risk of getting detected and reported by other players.


But most important:
If one version of a bot (or a script in the case since the framework is very flexible) got banned, don't even bother using the same version again. Unless modified, it WILL get auto detected very soon.

I would say, from the bots I've seen so far, all you would need to do is make your bot teleport somewhere, or go AFK for a while. Also use all range of skills your profession has available.

Thats because all other bots used a FIXED PATH which they were running up and down all the time, same waypoints, same people, same behavior. Check out some videos and you will see that no user, even when using the same NavMesh will ever walk the same ways or even look like a bot.

And to be honest, teleporting around all day long, often naked with 6 other guys on your back while gathering stuff is just asking to be banned lol. Teleporting it basicly the nr1 thing you can easily find out while monitoring stuff only on server side. Gw2Minion does not do any of this nor will it offer such hacks.

also, if your around your pc while botting do some talking in your guild, send some PM's to your friend, put stuff in trading post, dye your armour, deposit collectables, swap your skills.
every few hours do an event if you rally want to look legit.
chat in the map you are in for a bit while botting, then people that pass you by make a connection in their mind between seeing you and your chat msges and wouldn't even think about a bot.

@nippeltig: implement whisper detection, player following please. otherwise this bot cant be click and forget. if someone is on your *** and constantly asking you if your a bot, no matter how random the things you do are, your getting reported on with chat proof.

I've used every bot out thus far, and this one is the best... and all the beta does is farm. Minus a few crashing instances from time to time, it's pretty legit.. will be purchasing.

I highly praise the ability to set waypoint areas ingame, thats fantastic and something i would like to see in way more future bots in different games.


However, functionality of the bot depends a lot on the community, which is a 2 sided edge, as its quite dangerous if all users aim for the same scripts.


But seems promising overall, but in general i would never "buy" a bot, public freeware spirit ftw (get money by donations, if its good you get money).

lol nice try mr competitor haha, how do you scam someone if you DONT EVEN CHARGE ANYTHING?!

I guess everyone that ever tried our tools or got our support knows that we have a honest site and probably the best support out there, just ask in the chat or forum.

And supersonic, just post your "I would like you to add xxxx" in the thread, we'll pick it up asap, just like the other stuff.

Check out the other Lua modules in the forum The pve Bot is just one tiny lua module, pvp n stuff will follow. But the real strenght lies in the little nifty tools that you can freely add to your luamods folder...

I just say: automatically shooting an arrowCart without lineofsight wayyy beyond the range what it normally does into the "most crowded area" and collect loot from that ? yeah, thats stuff the users coded into lua modules and which are freely available in our forum give it a try, it is superb fun

yep, we were thinking about that too, we all got real fulltime jobs and money was never the reason we did this in the first place For the beginning we will offer it free (right now) for everyone to test and see that we don't want to screw anyone over...also fix the last tiny bugs and add the missing stuff. Everyone who is creating maps or little lua modules and shares those in the forum, also people who help with answering questions etc will always run the tool for free, promised!

When i start mine it updates and crashes the gw client...
