INSTALLATION
1. Download the above tools anywhere on ur hard drive.
2. Install Python and 010 Editor on ur PC. Note that the 010 Editor installs a demo version usable for 30 days only.
3. Extract the KOM unpacker/repacker and CRC brute force to a single folder. Also, copy the contents of the updated Grand Chase PH\Stage folder in this folder too.
UNPACKING KOM FILES
1. Run the KomExtractor batch file. This will open a CMD prompt.
2. Type the name of the KOM file u want to unpack/extract. Ex., if the KOM file is gcphil.kom, u will have to type gcphil ONLY (no need to type .kom).
3. Wait until all files are extracted, then move the files to a temporary folder. Note that these files will have an extension of LUA, STG and XML.
REPACKING KOM FILES
1. Run the Kompact batch file.
2. Type the name of the folder where u put ur extracted files (LUA, STG and XML).
3. Type the name of the NEW compressed file. Note that typing the original files' names will overwrite them with ur hacked version (we dont want to do that).
RESIZING THE EDITED FILE
1. Run 010 Editor from the START button.
2. Open the original KOM file.
3. Click Edit>Set File Size. Copy the file size of the original KOM file.
4. Open the edited KOM file.
5. Click Edit>Set File Size. Paste the copied file size. Subtract 4 from the new file size.
6. Save.
CHANGING FILE CRC
1. Run CRCH2.
2. Click the Select button. Open the original KOM file.
3. Click the Examine button.
4. Copy the CRC.
5. Open the edited file (see Step 2).
6. Paste the CRC under Request CRC32.
7. Click Do It!.
8. When a pop-up message appears, click Yes.
