The long-awaited desire for a new directory that the community had wanted for ages has now been listened to and implemented accordingly. This directory is called "Communities" and is intended to facilitate the viewers as well as streamers. It offers a more concrete and quick search for your favorite subjects and a more pleasant variant to work towards a certain target group. In addition, everyone can customize their interests as well as activity-related categories.
On the occasion of the great demand, even Product Marketing Manager Sheila Raju published a contribution to the community with the following words:
"Our streamers and viewers approached us and expressed our desire to be able to create their own groups dedicated to different topics and interests such as speedrunning, esport, cosplay or art. With communities, we enable our users to create groups at will. We also provide streamers with communities with a new tool to expand their audience. If users have certain interests that others share with them, communities is the place where this collective can unfold and exchange
Currently, the directory is still in a beta phase. Twitch continues to work on multi-function tours. When new releases are released, it will not be long before further features are added. You can find out which roles the previous features play.
● In the community directory, the streamer have the choice to choose the community they think best suits them.
● Personalization gives the opportunity to distinguish between the others in the respective group with individual avatars and banners.
● In the stream overview you will find various live content, which should help the viewers to meet new streamer and its content.
● The moderation tool, which is operated by the head of the respective group, ensures compliance with the rules. The task is to take action against violations of rules and to impose a ban if the rules are disregarded. Be it on a limited or lifelong time.
