This game is supposed to get released exclusively for PS3 and its gameplay might call to mind old, past days with previous titles of this series. Already known characters like Captain Qwark, Talwyn and Zephyr are - of course - not allowed to be absent. But as you know, memories are not only bond with characters.
That's why their popular and fancy weapon system is not going to get a raw deal. Concepts like Winterizer, Nightmare Box, Repulsor and Grav Tether have been mentioned. Some of those should give you the ability to manipulate gravity; others allow you to create portals bringing you to different places. Besides, one of the protagonists - Clank - has been individualised with new movement animations. You will also be able to control a small robot, which once teamed up with Ratchet.
The story starts off with an escape attempt of Vendra and Neftin during a prisoner transport Ratchet and Clank had to take care of. Their mission has failed and they now find themselves in a new and dangerous world, which is yet unknown to them.
Insomniac Games promises with Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus to have a title in development, which is not only family-friendly, but also challenging. It's their aim to keep an eye on previous titles while developing - to stay old-school. Let's see, if they succeed!
