As gamescom draws closer, more and more companies give their word to be present at this year's games fair. Not only confirmations regarding presence have been announced yet - some exhibiting companies are planning press conferences. For the first time in history of gamescom, Microsoft is going to face up to the audience holding a press conference. The US-American company surprisingly proclaimed to position themselves, which could has been expected, as this seems to be a huge chance to promote their coming console - the Xbox One - anew. Up to now it's not known, if this is really going to be part of the conference, as they didn't reveal any further details about topics they are focusing on. Meanwhile, a rumour is going about that not only Microsoft, but also Sony would like to favour European cities as possible locations to hold press conferences in the future. One of Microsoft's spokesmen stated:
"We're excited to be back at gamescom this year but we're not announcing any further details on our plans at this time. Please stay tuned for more details!"
