Apart from industry giants such as Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft and Nitendo, Sony offered a variety of own products during this year's E3 in Los Angeles. The main topic of the whole press conference was, without doubt, the PlayStation 4, which is the most important competitor of the XBox. Nevertheless, one dealt not only with the new console, but also with existing products, which have already found their way to market. After a seventeen minutes lasting delay and an attunement by music as well as on screen presented game scenes, Jack Tretton entered the stage and had a closer look on the PlayStation Vita.
There was talk of more than 60 upcoming titles for the handheld, including "Killzone Mercenary", "Tearaway", "Destiny of Spirits", "Doki-Doki Universe" and "CounterSpy". According to Tretton, HD versions of the game series "God of War" and "Final Fantasy" are also currently in development. Fans of the series "The Walking Dead" can rejoice as well - The first season is going to available for portable consoles very soon! This announcement was used as transition up to a statistic, which provides information about the purchase of games of the PlayStation Vita. Hence, more than the half of all sold titles are bought through the online store. A number of sales statistic was avoided since they are not very special. In May, only 7 million sales were made, even though the sales of the PlayStation Portable have already been taken into account - A very disappointing result.
This was followed by many trailers for PlayStation 3 games, starting with "The Last of Us" and "The Puppeteer" through to "Beyond: Two Souls". A teaser for "Gran Turismo 6" was also of the party; however, it mainly showed only a few car models. Last but not least a "Batman: Arkham Origins" trailer was shown, which contained whippings and the coming together of Batman and Joker.
With Andrew House, the PlayStation came to the fore and the tension was rising significantly. You get to know everything regarding the PlayStation 4 here
