League of Legends World Championship - Day 2

Yesterday we reported about the League of Legends world championship that is currently taking place and during which 12 teams from all over the world are competing against each other. This year the winning team will not only achieve the title of “World Champion” but will also receive one million U.S. dollars. Yesterday all of the six remaining teams were focusing on making it to the semi-finals. The last match of the quarter-finals is scheduled at 21:00 +0100 when CLG.EU versus will be facing Team World Elite in Los Angeles.

The following teams competed against each other yesterday starting at 21:00 +0100 in Los Angeles:

Team 1 Team 2
Moscow Five (Europe)vs.Invictus Gaming (Asia)
Taipai Assassins (Asia)vs.Najin Sword (Asia)
Team Solomid (North America)vs.Azubu Frost (Asia)

Unlike in group stage, the quarter-finals will played as a best of three, i.e. the teams will be playing in matches and the first team to win two matches will be in the semi-finals. Here are yesterday’s results:

Moscow Five versus Invictus Gaming:
  • Round 1, Winner: Moscow Five
  • Round 2, Winner: Moscow Five
  • Round 3 x


Taipai Assassins versus Najin Sword
  • Round 1, Winner: Taipai Assassins
  • Round 2, Winner: Taipai Assassins
  • Round 3 x


Team Solomid versus Azubu Frost
  • Round 1, Winner: Azubu Frost
  • Round 2, Winner: Azubu Frost
  • Round 3 x


The following pairs will be facing each other in the semi-finals:
