What happens is that Electronic Arts has been trying for several years to get this deal done; and the fact that their latest attempt was rejected has not stopped them from keep thinking about this.

As well, Valve's co-founder didn't reject the deal due to the price, as he stated, he is concerned about the company getting "disintegrate" if purchased by another company, nothing official was said by Valve's representatives about the price.

Origin <-- worst gaming platform ever

I hope for the other way around, Valve should buy EA games and then we could get rid of this illness called Origin.

How does EA buy Valve when it's a private company?

I agree the Origin is horrible. I hated it the moment I installed it for the Battlefield 3 alpha testing lol.
If EA did somehow acquire Valve we would end up with Half-Life 3: Let's try to be a rip off of Modern Warfare 3 >.> or some shit like that.
Speaking of which I want Half-Life 3 to come out! D; or Episode 3.
Whichever they plan to do ><

Just another attempt by EA to monopolize the gaming world. Hopefully they fail. But I'm sure EA will keep trying until they get what they want.
