This year marks the 40th Anniversary of Atari, one of the founding fathers of the industry we know and love. To celebrate, Atari are taking retrospective looks at their past and what they've done for the industry. Check out the infographic and video below for more information.

I saw this advertised/proclaimed someplace else maybe by the current owners of Atari.

Okay but I think it's kind of silly since Atari has had how many different owners now?
Since Nolan Bushnell (whom I met at a job interview) and Ted Dabney in 1972.
Then Jack Tramiel (whom I've worked with back in the Jaguar days), then Hasbro bought the name in 1998 then Infogrames Inc., starting in 2003, to present.

Don't mean to rain on anyone's parade but it's not like there has been a whole "Atari" company for 40 years. The name has been sort of passed around "like a two dollar whore"..
