Lost Planet 3. Are you ready for some of the most intense fights for survival? Fight your way through endless swarms of Akrid, gather their thermal energy and avoid freezing to death.
Lost Planet 3 takes place on E.D.N. III, years before the events of the first and second installments of Lost Planet. E.D.N is being colonized by people from Earth.
You play as Jim, a colonist miner that does honest, hard work for a living, so that he can one day go back home to his wife and kid. Large bipedal robots called Rigs are an essential aspect of the game, but unlike the previous games, Rigs are not yet militarised, instead they only have mining drills and claws in their arsenal.
The colonization is being organized by a company called NEVEC (that becomes the lead antagonist force in the later games). NEVEC is not yet corrupted by power, that is why they are trying to set up special thermal posts to combat the cold and terraform the planet to make it suitable for humans.
Through out the story, our hero Jim starts unraveling the dark mysteries of NEVEC.
Here's an awesome trailer that shows off some of the gameplay and story.
The game will be available for the PS3, xBox 360 and the PC.
Resident Evil 6. The Resident Evil series is well known for it's intense survival-horror style gameplay, a deep and dark plot and a number of protagonists that appear through out the various games. This one is no exception, filled with creatures from zombies, to mutants, dark and creepy locations and a constant shortage of ammo.
You start the game as Leon S. Kennedy (Resident Evil 4), a specialist agent that has already encountered countless infected and is a pro at what he does. He's exploring Tall Oaks, a city filled with zombies. Later on, you play as Chris (Resident Evil 5), who fights a desperate battle at Lanshiang versus the J'avo, creatures that mutate differently, depending on where you damage them. Last but no least Jack Muller, who has to run from all manner of baddies.
Each character has a unique storyline and companion, the story intricately twists and tangles as the heroes encounter one another, in the search for answers to their questions.
The game will launch on the 2nd of October and will be available on the PS3, PC and xBox 360.
Last but not least, Devil May Cry 5 (the DMC series were always a favorite of mine). DMC was originally meant to be a part of Resident Evil, but was so drastically different from the horror-survival genre that it was later dubbed Devil May Cry and made into a completely new IP.
While the previous games mainly followed the adventures of the demon hunter Dante (who was half demon himself). The fifth game will take a drastic new turn in the storyline and will take place in an alternative universe where some things did not happen, and some did. The world is overrun by demons, but not in plain sight, they control the economy, the law, the media and no one seems to know anything of it. A group of rebels called The Order is aware of this and are trying to do their best to stop it, they encounter Dante, who they believe can end everything.
The game is set to launch on the 5th of January 2013 and will be available on the PS3, xBox 360 and the PC.
Enjoy the trailer for game (WARNING: the trailer contains heavy language and violence).
Anyway, that's about it, I hope you liked it. We'll keep you updated.
