How do I get PoS or speedhack to work?

I don't know how to do any of these things, I can't get them to work. Can anyone help me out?

How the hell do these things work. I do them and all I get is the pop up for lets say speedhack, I click flee and nothing happens when I have FFXI up. Its really starting to **** me off i cant get any of these things to work. Am I supposed to do anything special? Flame me if you want, but I cant get any of these ******* things to work, is there a guide somewhere that is hiding from me?

There are several posts in that forum that are extrememly informative. If you haven't used this already then those should help.
