- Level cap 75
- You do not lose exp for deaths until level 30.
- Exp gains are increased by 4x
- Exp losses are increased by 3x
- There is sometimes an “EXP” boost effect from talking to the porter moogle in jeuno. You should check it out if its up.
- The EXP buff is not always up.
- Some Field of Valor(FOV) pages are MENTOR ONLY. You can register the page, but will not get credit for it. Be warned. Read the list here (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=577)
- G5 (limit break to get past level 70) can only be completed by jobs that have to fight Maat. DNC, BLU, COR, SCH, and PUP can not break level cap 70 on their own and you will have to level another class to 70 and complete its G5 before they can get past level 70.
- Inventory and Items:
- You start with all gobbie bag slots (80 inventory) and all mog-storage options unlocked.
- If loot does not appear in your inventory, sort it. I DON’T CARE IF YOU HAVE IT SET TO AUTO SORT. SORT IT.

- Did it fix it? IF YES (Damn I am good), IF NO (Do it again!)
- Some AF quests are borked, you have to face the dreaded CNM to get some pieces for a select few jobs. (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=102) That is the guide. You need a party of 75s(or more to be safe)
- Incase you are too lazy to read… The broken pieces are: BST pants, PLD body and feet, All of BLU, DNC, COR and SCH.
- RSE is not obtainable by normal means… You kill a race-specific NM and it gives you a key item. The key item grants all four pieces. Go here (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=18)
- Gil drops from repeatable quests have a 5x retail payout
- Do low level, repeatable quests while leveling to earn gil. A guide is here for a lot of the repeatable ones ( ... 0672001765)
- When you are higher level (55 or so to be safe), you can farm Lady Bug Wings in East Ronfaure S. A stack trades to the quest npc for 60,000 gil!!
- There are custom vendors to make up for some missing functionality. The list is here. (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=22)
- Can’t find an item? Need to know a drop rate? Look here for it (items.php)... Its super useful, bookmark this.
- Some mobs have had their drop rates increased.
Auction House:
- The auction house has virtually no limit on what you can put in it to sell.
- DO NOT CLICK THE CHECK STATUS BUTTON. It locks up this nearly unlimited AH capability and you have to relog if you do to fix it.
- Instead, if you need to remove something from the AH, go here (auctionhouse.php), set the price low, and buy it from yourself. You do not need to log out for this to work.
- To do this, you have to have your character linked to your forum login.
Transportation:
- You have all maps
- You have all outpost warps
- The porter mog in Lower Jeuno takes you to your nations OP warp NPC. (While giving you exp buff and reraise).
- You should set your HP to lower jeuno so you can travel quicker and get exp buff when its up.
- The command “@moghouse” can be used to take you to your mog house if you are in any one of the four major cities.
- Another custom command “@bazaar” will take you to a special (and cool) bazaar area. If you are going to overnight bazaar stuff, please use it. It took a lot of work for it to be made for our use.
- You can get a free warp scroll from the chocobo chick near the fountain in lower jeuno.
- You do not have to do the chocobo quest to get a chocobo pass. You can just chat with the chocobo in the corner.
Jobs and Missions:
- BST still has to do the chocobo pass quest per retail to advance.
- Most other classes are unlocked just like retail. Use the wiki for a step-by-step guide and hints on how to do so.
- Most jobs work as intended. PUP does not.
- Some classes AF do not work per retail, check the above post about the CNM.
- SMN quest can sometimes be screwy. If you know you have all of your weather cutscenes and still can’t talk to carby in La Theine, randomly collect more weather effects, you might get another CS anyways and be able to complete it. Its hit or miss sometimes.
Chat:
- You can use the command <job> to display your current job/subjob and level. Ie 25WAR/12THF.
- Other commands exist, such as: <me> will put your name, <t> will display the name of your target, <pos> will display what your map coordinates are, <hp> or <mp> will display your hp or mp values, and <hpp> or <mpp> will display your hp or mp percent.
- Chat filters work, but they reset upon changing areas.
Fame, Quests, and Missions:
- You gain fame at a faster rate than in retail.
- Fame check NPCs are borked. You can not check your fame from them accurately. Instead, either wait and see what your linked forum account displays in its fame info, or just check quests of various fame levels to see if you can get them.
- YOU MUST JOIN THE TENSHODO BEFORE YOU CAN GET QUESTS FOR SPELLS LIKE UTSUSEMI.
- Repeatable quests pay out 5x as much gil, use these and often. (See above for more info)
- DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT work mission 2-3 for any nation where your dragon fight takes place in bastok. If you are sandy or windy aligned, do bastoks branch FIRST. The Waugroom Shrine dragon fight is super borked.
