Adding in a New Item

I have tried to add in a new item which is a Mandarin outfit with a different texture.

I made a new id for it and have added it into the itemtype database and itemtype.dat

I have added in the dds and c3 files into the appropriate folders.

c3:
c3/mesh

dds:
c3/texture

I have edited 3dobj.ini, 3dtexture.ini and also armor.ini

I hexedited itemtype.dat but for some reason it doesnt recognize that it has been added when in the server. I have tried placing in different places but it still doesnt work.

Also I have added in the icons for it and changed ItemMinIcon.ANI and MapItemIcon.ANI in the ani folder.

I hope someone has a solution for this,

there is 1 place that detects the itemtype.dat file of how many items are in the database, i dont know exactly where it is, i knows its near the top or at the top
but did you change that?

Yea I thought that it might have been like the shopping mall but I wasnt sure what the amount of items is so I couldnt search for the hex.

I tried changing the code just before the start of the first item but it didnt do anything.

easiest way to do it is replace some item never used like some itemquests.. and replace that id for your item..

Ok that worked. I had to change the hex at the top aswell which I didnt see before.

But now I am trying to add in a normal item but for some reason it recognizes it as a weapon (well in the description is says about atk etc) and the icons wont work for it. I copied the code from the godstone for it as that is just a normal item.

Any ideas on the problem this time ?
